Episode Two made fans cry, says Valve

Half-Life 2: Episode Two's emotional final scene was powerful enough to cause fans to shed a tear, according to Valve."Quite a few fans wrote to say that we broke the blubbering barrier. They wept", Half-Life story scribe Marc Laidlaw has revealed.

I was not one of these people. But it did add to the "attachment" you feel for the characters.

That i have to wait now for EP3! It was a good ending though, very good, up with the best, but not enough to make me cry.

I was more depressed. Not by the ending but just the thought of having to wait ages to buy EP3.

I would love to see a youtube video of some gamer that just got trough killing everything in the game, balling their eyes out do to the ending.

6 - No, didn't cry
but I did feel a sense of loss. It was a great ending and it got me amped for HL3.

All I could think of was - REVENGE!!!

I think Alex is going to be an outraged crazy lunatic in the next game. She's going to be kicking mega ass and taking numbers.

HL3 is going to be a blast.

7 - He is right. I did cry
It was a painful experience playing the game, after a masterpiece called Resistance and Call of Duty 4.

Hope they finally introduce a seperate melee and gernade button in episode 3.

8 - Excellent Ending.
Cant wait for EP3, with an ending as climatic as that I really do I hope that EP3 is longer than 3-4 hours game play.

10.1 - Shouldn't you be on a playground right about now?
I know you hate the big 4th graders and all, but you can take them on. I know it!

Cried at the ending? They wish. The lag in Team Fortress 2 makes me weep in agony though.

I was still crying with joy that i had finally finished that god awful strider attack scene. Episode two was so terrible. Im no half life hater or anything tho:

* Half life 1 - played it like mad, groundbreaking fps
* Half life 2 - great sequel, amazing story, at the time my fave fps ever.
* Episode one - More of the same HL2 gameplay, a bit boring and was clearly an unplanned child of valves with the way it casually brushed off the ending of HL2.
* Episode two - A lesson in boringness, i was surprised at how they could turn the great HL2 gameplay into something where i cared absolutely nothing about the story and found myself hoping it would end.

Both episodes were so obviously unplanned cash cows for valve.

13 - didn't cry at all
but still I was pretty surprised. It isn't either MGS3 or FF7 to make me really sad.
