'Duke Nukem Forever' confirmed for 2008, coming to home consoles

Garland-based video games developer 3D Realms has confirmed Duke Nukem Forever, the highly anticipated sequel to its revolutionary 1996 PC game Duke Nukem 3D, is headed for retail release in late 2008, and will be coming to Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3 home video game consoles, as well as the PC.

Ha ha, it's coming alright. But will it be good? I bet with all the time money and effort, they could have built a small city instead of this game.

9 - Wow....I am pretty excited to see this...
As for the console versions...I had just read in OXM that the rumor was it was coming to the 360...which makes sense given the PC nature of the game.

I am a little concerned for the PS3 version ....ONLY in the sense that so many devs have had issues with porting from PC/360 to the PS3. I dont know if the game is using UE3...but that seems to be the engine of choice these days and well...its been a bit of an issue for the PS3.

That all said, I do hope it has no issues on any platform and that this game finally comes to us...and delivers what we all hope it will.

The title of the game matches the time if took for it to come out!

Not sure what to expect when it gets in our hands, but how long will it take for us to get sick of his rip off Bruce Campbell one liners? Probably not 'forever'.

This was one game I was really hoping to play several years ago, but with all the great games that have come out from then till now....can it really bring something new to the table?

How really wants this game at this point in time really? It's been in development since the PS1 was out it didn't make it for PS2 gen period and to be honest i don't care if they make it for this gen. They need to re-invent Duke or else he'll fail in todays market and Miserably.
