PSU: Wardevil gets a new look - First image

" Developed by the Digi-Guys, Wardevil is a new 3rd person action/sci-fi title exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

Since its last showing, the team at Digi-Guys have been pretty quiet on the game's advancements. We know the game uses a new and sophisticated gaming engine called RTE1080 (real time engine) which allows for 1080p resolution at 60fps. Digi-Guys have stated that they hope to create a visual style that surpasses the look and feel of pre-rendered FMV sequences.

What is it with these British(Ninja Theory & Digi-guys) with their Cine graphics.

Yup, Digi will deliver on gameplay, I have no doubt now.

But here's hoping that Digi have learned completely from others that went before them -in particular Ninja Theory - to ensure that the gameplay is faultless, AI challenging, is long and has significant replay value(ie MP, Coop, online).

whether sony ends up purchasing them or not this will stay exclusive cus sony already paid for the game and i still honestly dnt believe 360 can achieve 1080p at 60fps. Not sure when this game is coming out but i like the new look better the hair was gay. Just another ps3 game scheduled for 2008 could slip to 2009 who knows but jst one of those exclusives sitting there. Sometimes i stare at my 360 and wonder why are you still here. Oh yea ninja gaiden

Whatever it is - that image has me excited about this game. I'm a big sci-fi fan, and I'm always looking for new and interesting sci-fi ideas in gaming, and this shot has me craving more. I haven't seen or played anything in this "series" previous, but here's hoping for great things.

Cool find and image. I remember seeing a tech demo of this long ago when first tech demos of Projet Offset were out and thought these two games look beyond great and next-gen.

Love the new look of main character. Didn't like the old design. It's exact opposite of Dark Sector where the character had maks and armor at first but devs later removed the mask and made him more human.

The game looks amazing, I just hope their not only focusing on the graphic and that they will have a very solid game play as well. I've notice that too many developers are not putting enough time into the game play for their game's and that's hurting them a lot. Anyway I know if Sony stays on top of them and makes sure that everything is alright then the game will turn out to be a AAA title. I hope this game is released this year.

If this is an in-engine shot then dannnggg... The rock texture looks eerily realistic. Not to mention the overall atmosphere. I really can't wait to see what this engine can really fork out on the Playstation 3 hardware.

These shoots are according to the offical site, using 100% in-game assets.

They where posted on teamxbox.com way back in August 10th 2005! When i believe this game was going to be a 360 exclusive.

With Digis background in graphics this game should set a benchmark.

Fingers crossed that they can deliver on gameplay. I'm confident they will.

Wardevil will be a major hit

... and Digi-guys will join the ranks of 1st Class developers.

BTW: A number of the environments remind me of Halo. Looks like some developers have been learning: copy, modify, adapt, improve. Now I can only dream that Digi turns it into a shooter/Action/RPG....but not likely.
