Rumortoid: Frontlines: Fuel of War canceled for the PS3?

PlayStation 3 gamers looking to pick-up THQ's first-person shooter, Frontlines: Fuel of War, may be in for some disappointment.

According to a tip Destructoid received from a GameStop employee, the retailer has confirmed in a store-wide email that the title has been canceled for the PlayStation 3. Destructoid were able to confirm this email with their own GameStop sources, although no reason was given for the cancellation. GameStop.com also no longer lists the title for pre-order, further indicating the game's demise.

guess that means ps3 owners just won't play it at all. Already played demo on xbox and the game is crap as far as i'm concerned. Just another game bringing nothing new to the table. Way to many games for me 2 even consider this for any console

MP will not save it. The animaton is terrible, graphics look good then bad then good again. The control of the cars suck. Just say no.

11 - This is a senario

where the xbox was lead platform and then porting to PS3. Problem is when studios do this, the game falls apart quickly due to the need for advanced programming techniques for the PS3. Studios like EA have seen what happens when you develop for both consoles in that matter. Difference is, THQ had the balls to scrap the crappy port instead of sending it out with obvious frame rate issues. EA sucks these days, I wish Trip Hawkins still owned them. Oh well.

true what others say. The 360 demo did suck some pretty musty balls. Call of duty 4 delivers the goods on both systems so no need for a sub par version of a great game. It seemed like blacksite minus the aliens. I predict this game gets low review scores and flops horribly.

apparently the XBL demo was an earlier version of the gamme according to one the fronlines dev who posted on major nelsons site.

I've seen the mulitplayer,and that to me seems like reason enough for me to buy it.

kinda like battlefield 2, single player not good, but multiplayer was pretty fun.

i guess i'll dry my tears with the *OTHER eleventy *BILLION FPS games released, and releasing this year...*sigh*

by the way, what is with this "as long as it has a solid multiplayer component, it's alright," BS? look, if a game has a single player *AND a multiplayer, *BOTH components should be solid, and games should be judged accordingly. if the game is *ONLY a single player game, it shouldn't matter if it doesn't have multiplayer, as long as the singleplayer component is top notch and it should be judged accordingly(ie, Bioshock and Uncharted). if the game is *JUST multiplayer, it shouldn't matter if there is no singleplayer, as long as the multiplayer is top notch, and should be judged accordingly (ie, Warhawk).

this whole, excusing a game's poor single player campaign because of solid to great multi-player is letting developers get away with mediocrity. some of us are still single player gamers you know. there were a few games last year that i didn't play, because i'm not a multi-player gamer, and their single player campaign was weak or not worth it. hell, i have UT3 on the PS3, and i've only played online about three or four times, the majority of my playtime on Unreal has been single player (well, me and my roommate play each other every once in a while).

when a developer kicks out a half-@ssed single player campaign, i can't help but feel slighted as a primarily single player gamer. i *LOVE games like Uncharted and Bioshock because of their strong single player component. but on the flip side, i also *LOVE games like Resistance, which offer *BOTH an awesome single player, and an awesome multi-player. considering that we're paying $60 for games these days, we *DESERVE a complete package in our games. we shouldn't expect anything less, whether it's singleplayer only, multiplayer only, or both.

no where near as good as CoD4, Resistance or Halo.

Single player definately needs to be left alone.

I guess the only FPS I can think of it being better than is 'hour of victoy' and gamespot gave thta like 12%.

Who knows though maybe multiplayer will be its redeeming factor.
