Rockstar prefers the Playstation platforms... I've read them say it... There are already 2 Rockstart Exlclusives in the works.... L.A Noire and a wild west Rockstar game. The PS3 userbase is going to pass the 360 and everyone knows it. Just like you also will have a PS3 in the next 2-4 years and be able to play and have fun on it for 6 or more years haha... Though I don't think you have any reason to get yourself excited about a rumor for a game that's not going to be released for a few years, I could say the same about some of exclusives that hit the 360.

Once gta 4 comes out and it sells 250k on the ps3 and over 2 million on the Xbox 360 I doubt 5 will be exclusive.

It wouldn't make sense for Rockstar financially to make GTAV PS3 exclusive. But already you can tell that the artist part inside of Take Two really wants to make something special and that is why they're using the PS3 as their canvas for LA Noire and the other PS3 exclusive game they're working on.

Like it or not Blu-Ray space plus hard drive caching makes for some intriguing possibilities that you can't do on 360 that some developers would like to see what they can make with it. Especially after MS told all the developers that they can't make a hard drive a pre-requisite for their games.

As for GTA5, I think it all depends on sales of GTA4 on PS3 and 360.

FarCry 2 on PS3/360 would be sweet. Wonder what that franchise would be...

Good point but I believe that if the game sells really low on PS3, GTA5 could end up a 360 exclusive without need of a check from MS. So IMO, it all depends on the ratio of 360 to PS3 sales.

OMG! I loved those games! I would love to see them come out to the consoles. And honestly ....that is one game that would make me buy a system just to play it. So if it was exclusive to even the Wii...I would get a Wii just to play it. Very excited over that rumor.

I would not be surprised if to recoup losses from this delay they make it multiplatform. Or perhaps a timed exclusive for Sony.

Game looks sharp regardless and has some potential.

GTA V will not be a ps3 exclusive. I know fanboys want to dream, but ask yourself would R* rather make 60 mil on GTA V, or would they want to make 300 mil. So unless sony coughs up a couple hundred mil for exclusivity, I wouldn't hold my breath.

You're making that arguement based off of the flawed assumption that everyone who has purchased a PS3 at this time is doing it for the gaming platform.

It has been well established that the PS3 has sold units because it is one of the cheapest BluRay players out there.

For the PS3 unless it's a Sony game they are OVER. The 360 software out sells the PS3 40 to 1 so any game developer would be cutting their own throat just putting their game on the PS3. When you see the numbers GTA4 (along with a price cut on the 360 when the game comes out) does on the 360 it will put an end to all the rumors folks. This game will do HALO type sales #'s.

the gta V rumour sounds plausible seeing as most of the games rockstar has anounced so far r ps3 exclusive. and rockstar has said it that they want to harness the ps3 full potential and this is the way to do it without getting held back

the only reason i could see this being true is because gta will be very big and not be able to fit on a dvd. these types of games and multiple disk's just do not work together.

As for the GTA V thing, seriously nobody knows and the liklihood is that it will be multiplatform. Rockstar are making exclusive games so that they can have the opportunity to harness the PS3's uniquie strengths but that will not be a priority when it comes to the GTA franchise (which has always been multiplatform).

The priority with titles in that franchise will always be to make games that makes the best of both platforms with the least compromises possible so that it can sell as many units as possible. At the end of the day Rockstar are in a position where they need to keep their publishers happy, can you imagine how take 2 would reaact if rockstar turned around to them and said, 'we only want to sell half as many units with our next GTA game as we usually would so we are only developing it for one platfrom'

It will never happen, be happy with the exclusives you are getting from the company and stop believing everything you hear.

I could see gta5 being ps3 exclusive isnt rockstart developing two ps3 games excluisve right now. So its possible and they also prefer the sony brand over microsoft. Wasnt sony helping them with some money issues they have, i remembering reading something like that. I can see GTAV beign a timed exclusive the same way the PS2 had the timed exclusivity..over the xbox..but anyone thinking this game won't evr grace the 360 is delusional...every GTA that was made for the PS2 eventually went on to xbox...but GTA4 was also suppose to be a timed PS3 exclusive but Sony didn't act immediaely on it so now it's multi-plat.. R* already said they wanna start concentrating on the PS3 more so they won't be held back on what they want to make. they also have had great success being PS exclusive, even if some have been timed.

xbots don't want to hear it but the 360 just can't keep up with the PS3. the devs have said this and it will become more apparent as this gen heats up.
