Activision Blizzard, the new company formed by a merger between Activision and Vivendi, has revealed that it will be making new games in franchises like Call of Duty and Guitar Hero "on an annual basis".
It's a move that sounds a lot like rival publishing behemoth EA's strategy of pumping out new versions of its core titles every year. EA has been criticised by some gamers for focusing on this model of publishing over high quality new games.
Speaking in a conference call today, Robert Kotick, chairman and CEO of Activision, said: "You can expect virtually every one of those properties (its 10 multi-million unit-selling franchises) will be exploited on an annual or close to annual basis."
The XDefiant Season 1 to 4 Factions have leaked alongside Battle Pass info. It also mentions Rainbow Six Siege being available for Season 1.
Arrowhead Game Studios has announced on X that two new weapons have been added to Helldivers 2
Joe LaRue of The Koalition writes: It has been 12 years since Capcom released the sequel, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 has finally arrived and I could not be more enthralled with a game. I genuinely can’t say enough good things about the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s beautiful to behold and full of secrets, caves, encounters, and stories that only you will get to tell. I will try not to spoil anything in this review, but I will say that this is a game you must play to experience the storytelling.
not too sure if thats such a good idea especialy for guitar hero they are gonna keep bringing it on till we lose interest. take ur time to make significant improvemend and not jst new songs.
this is why EA should NOT be allowed to make a CONSOLE.
yea i dont like this idea. i dont want them to become the next EA
Guitar hero wont be too bad cus its not exactly a complicated game that needs innovation, but COD will just go downhill
Lol did he just say exploited?
