I love HOME and I can't wait for us to get our hands on it. This is the most impressive virtual environment I have ever seen! And it is a free application for Playstation 3! I think we can all agree on this regardless. This is no time to hate, please congratulate the fact that Sony has delivered on a user friendly environment that will grow in ways we can't imagine over the next few years. I really like this from the graphical and detailed part of the system but as anything we need to see it in motion with people interacting, also i wanna see them using the multiplayer game setting.

anyways, what i mean is, you try everything there is to try. it's brand new and great.

then you come into your pad and realize you're alone. you invite people, but then you have to consider how to communicate.

then you turn your ps3 one day and just wanna play. but to invite people you gotta go through this whole song and dance.

i need to see more.

I see your point, hopefully they will let you be able to go through the XMB, like everybody thought they should have done by now. But, that would be kind of tiresome to keep going through Home just to start a game with someone.

most of this will be optional you can still hook up with your clan and play cod4 instantly... What this does is give you a place to hook with your friends check stuff out and who knows maybe even meet new people... Very innovative and fresh approach to online gaming imo

Did anyone catch the end where it says available for download early next year? Hope this doesnt mean we're not getting the open beta this year...

@ wil4ire obviously you know nothing about image blur and quality the blur has nothing to do with the home movement its the quality of the video... Also Home looks way more amazing then the cheesy trailer sony showed and has way more content in it then I imagined. This is going to be a real lift off for sony once this is released. I think sony is heading in the right direction.

So I'm playing Killzone 2 or MGO online, and an announcement pops up on the information board about an announcement in Home. I pop out of the game, go to the Home sqaure, and Kaz Hirai, Phill Harrison and Jack Tretton appear as their avatars and talk, amplified so the whole square can hear. They announces upcoming firmware features, a new game announcement, and announce exclusive trailers only at the Home theatre for the next hour, before going onto the playstation store in the next update.

I also want to watch E3 Live in the Home Theatre.

Great vision, its highly, HIGHLY probable. That is how many of the Home devs also envision it as well...

It can really become something big and amazing if steered towards the right direction. And like someone else said earlier, this looks far better then the initial trailer. The graphics have gotten better over time in the beta, as the animations have.

In the full v video walkthrough, look carefully at the end () That "Home Safe Screen" has an option called "System Friend List" which gives you access to the XMB friends list in-game, so you can message people and whatnot. Just like feature in Resistance: Fall of Man.

And you can access all your photos from your hard drive by selecting a photo to put in a picture frame. And once there are TV's in the beta, as well as stereos, then we will be able to access all of our videos, and music in game, and share them with friends.

So really J@D, in terms of Home at least, you dont have to worry all too much about not being able to access the XMB, because really you can. ;)

we can now access our friends list to send messages back n forth while in home. but for me, i still haven't been able to upload my pictures. everytime i try the system freezes.

i notified sony already soooooo..........

And it was able to access it and place the photo. Sometimes you just have to wait 5 seconds or so for the images to load up, trust me.

All we can do now is watch trailers or little shows (minute or so long). But the plan is to have full movies like spider-man 3, that kind of stuff.

* Various themed Homes: Past, present, future, fantasy

* Property creation: Shops, House, Apartment, Mansion, Estate etc

* Chattel creation: Furniture, statues etc

* Clothing creation:

* Virtual Pets: If you don't feed your pet Dino then oh boy look out.

* Useable vehicles

* Various Roles: Civilian, Criminal, Businessperson, Police, etc.

* Various actions & abilities: Grabbing, jumping, punching, kicking etc.

In short.....

Please make HOME into the complete virtual world - or worlds - where you can choose to be part of the virtual society or not, contribute or not, socialize or not, sell or shop, obey the rules or not, etc.

Home has the potential to be the biggest MMOG ever.....and its free.

Home square looks very impressive indeed, Home has a lot of potential imo
