Agreed. Uncharted No1 and then I'd put Ratchet instead of NFS on 5th. The nfs demo didn't convince me that it is a must have. Nothing real new there, IMO (and Dirt or even Sega Ralley are more impressive).

COD:4 and Assassin's Creed this week and Uncharted as soon as its out(possibly this week also).NFS is a renter for me,I loved the undergrounds but there is not enough Hondas to fix up on NFS these days so,oh well.Haze is most likely going on my list,we'll see.

There will be a lot of new PS3 owners after this Holiday season and with the new people in mind..the list needs to be revised to include a few others.....nix NFS and Haze from the list for now for sure.

great list of games Cod4 is simply incredible and deserver all the credit it is getting, i am not convinced about the NFS Pro Street demo the handling just doesn't feel right so i doubt i will be parting with any cash for that. However the other four are must own titles imo

I actaully rate the NFS series Highly and can see why it sells by the millions for decent reasons as its a fun game to play for anyone.

To be fair its the only EA game i would consider buying this year. (unless you class Mass Effect as EA now)

NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 was the last good game in the series..dude Midnight Club and Burnout is the way to go..NFS is just trying to copy what those two games does best...

The only reason NFS Pro Street made it to the list is because:
#1. It's a great game
#2. The list is already full of FPS titles to include Unreal and Timeshift
#3. Guitar Hero and Rock Band are just more of the same thing...same gameplay, different songs.

NFS is different as it moves away from the arcade like gameplay and pushes for more realistic racing.

If you want realistic racing, go with the F1. Much better visuals anyhow. NFS Pro has a nice new gameplay idea. But I think it didn't really take off in the game (what I've seen so far).

Not a great list sorry. NFS will not be that good, COD4 is awesome, Assassins will be awesome, Haze will be good, Uncharted, not really going to be good. I played the demo, wasn't impressed.

Eye of Judgment (my roommate has it, so i know it's solid)
Assassin's Creed
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Unreal Tournament 3 (i just *HAVE to get the game that "looks better than Gears of War", despite the Playstation 3's "lack of memory" *rolls eyes*)
Haze (Free Radical makes good games. period)

i already own about 6 other PS3 games outside of Ratchet, so i'm pretty stocked for the rest of the year, and the 5 other games on the list above are adding to my collection nicely. back when i finally got my Playstation 2, i only had a handful of games by it's year one birthday (MGS2, GTA3, and DMC), but for the Playstation 3 by the time this year is all said and done, i'll have 12, not counting the games i *USED to have, but eventually traded out of desperation for more games (ie, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Fight Night Round 3, Virtua Fighter 5, etc).

considering the fact that i've owned, at *LEAST, 15 PS3 games since i picked mine up in February of this year, i don't understand the completely false "PS3 has no games" perception being constantly bandied about, *ESPECIALLY at this point in the year, with so much stuff out, and so much stuff still on the way, multi-platform or not (not everybody owns a 360, so the fact that games like Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4 are multi-platform mean absolutely *NOTHING to a sole Playstation 3 owner. hell, i feel sorry for the Wii owners, really, as outside of a handful of games; mostly Nintendo games; there's not much else to play. at least a PS3 owner *GETS Assassin's Creed and COD4).

I have CoD4 on a (permanent) rental, Uncharted on my Thanksgiving budget, and Haze for Christmas (and, well, Lego Star wars, need another E game - but that is actually $49!). But that's it for this year (Ratchet and Graw2 was my Sept/Oct purchase). Assassins in case I would send CoD4 back (or find some cash to keep), and UT3 ASAP its out (and fits into my budget - in 2008). Yeah, to many games. And I haven't even got a chance to take a look at Folklore, Eye of Judgement, Dirt, Sega Ralley or even Stuntman (liked the demo), and when should I ever find the cash for Time Shift and Army of Two? ... I am so broke...
