This really is the first brilliant PS3 commercial I've seen... I hope they buy a lot of ad time.

But I do hope they follow up with comercials that include gameplay & show off more of the awesome weapons (specifically the groovatron). We know that the grapchics really come close to a cgi match, but the public should see that the game looks just as good in motion!

Is it me? Why is it that Sony insist on doing their commercials in C.G. when the games themselves don't look bad are they trying to give an illusion that the graphics are really that good? we all know that so far the Ps3 graphics are on par with 360 but Lair, Heavenly Sword and now Ratchet commercials are not showing actual in game graphics they are showing c.g. and not even telling people.Not to say that the graphics on any of those games aren't good but they are not that good. That's the truth like it or not.

and the graphics are quite amazing, but you can still tell what is animation and what is not. The reason why they show the video all in CG because it is easier to catch the attention from the console market.

When I talk to my console friends they for some reason care for the animation of the game.... ahem even when some of them are blinded and believe the animation is real time in game graphics.

If they were advertising for a pc game I think the marketing team will be focusing more on real time in game animation.

In the end it all depends on the target market.

Umm but the in game graphics similar to the ones shown in the ads..kk..it's not when FF7 came out and we all saw the CG clips then saw how it actually looked in game....ppl won't be dissapointed when they see how great the game actually looks...same with Heavenly Sword and Lair.....not to mention Uncharted..!!!

They're right, the Heavenly Sword commercial might as well had been ingame seeing as how the cinematics during the game actually match that. Ratchet, except for the particle effects the rest looks like the game except running at a slower framerate.

Im still playing this game. I think the Planet I am on is called Sardaso. Its the one with the Dinosaurs looking creatures and the glider. I am enjoying this game very much and can't wait to see what's next in the next levels.
