Rumor: Final Fantasy Melody XIII for PS3 to be revealed at TGS 2007

A Korean site claims that a new FF game entitled "Final Fantasy Melody XIII" will be announced for PS3 at TGS 2007.

Then it puts the idea of a FF7 remake being announced at TGS into the bin as FF13 & Versus are already in development and keeping them busy. For a 4th FF title to be put into the mix is lunacy.

they meant the melody as in the song, possibly the theme song of ff13 will be shown. not another ff game, some people are misunderstood.

Yeah, that would make much more sense, Square would be crazy to work on another full-scale FF project right now, and I'm guessing they may start working on that FF7 remake until after 13 (and/or versus 13) are done so that would still be keeping them on a very tight schedule for a long time to come.

It would be awesome if it did turn out to be a full-scale FF13 game, but if its not, it should still be cool since the music from that FF Versus 13 trailer was just amazing and I'm looking forward to hearing more from the soundtrack.

I'm not a fan of rpgs, I never was, but my third favorite all time game was final fantasy 7.

it's okay for sony to have so many ff titles, we can atleast be assured that atleast 2 of those games will great killer apps, and it adds more to the exclsuives list.

i peronally belive there are so many FFXIII's to meet everyones needs, and for SE to relase their "new stuff"

they have been trying to make the FF series more "american" with action RPG's. ffxii was an ok start, but when it comes to FF, i want a old fastion JRPG that is turn based.

I'm willing to bet one version of 13 will be action based, one will be traditional turned based, and w/e this is may be something completly new.

All the FFXIII tittles are on Latin and melody doesn't sound like a latin word to me except there some kind of "special conection" on that tittle with the gregorian songs or soemthing like that that give some BIT of Latin meaning over that tittle.

Well... I'm quite agree with ya'. Bot as a musician I thought it could happen cuz the Gregorian Chant are singing in Latin (most of the time) on church so maybe there some kind of connection in there. Melodia sound more Latin to me.

Hopefully we can get an update on the exact number of Final Fantasy XIIIs. I mean, all we want is an update on the game, any bit would do. Hell, even a few pics would be awesome. I just got to remember that TGS is just a few more days away. I know the wait is painful, but we got to bear with it. We'll get to see what Square-Enix has been up to, and maybe some information on how far along their projects are, so I know the wait will be worth it.

But I just don't want to wait too long.

Come on, Square-Enix bring on the Final Fantasy's!

but... they always release A+++ titles, but honestly ill settle for an A+ title if you can dish it out in < .25 a decade!!!

My guess, this is SE's plan to make up for the money they will lose with the "small ps3 install base." I've lost hope in SE after FF10.... all the girly-men, wussies, and emos.. I miss the old days of FFVII and FFIX -_- remake FFVII and FFIX and i will be uber uber happy =).

I blame enix for the emo and girly men characters..i never liked enix except for the game RAD Robot Alchemic Drive... that game was pretty fun imo. But man, with so many FFXIII's coming out..... how many? I dont know how people will afford this, i bet there will be 13 ff-13's =P

I remember reading about Square Enix having a chart showing 6 games in the Fabula Nova Crystallis series a while back. The 3 games announced was of course FFXIII, FFvsXIII, and FF Agito. 3 others unrevealed. Maybe this is 1 of those unannounced games.
