Half Life 2: Orange Box will arrive a few weeks later on PS3

Developer Valve confirmed the previously rumored October release at Games Convention 2007. Valve confirmed that the PC and Xbox 360 versions will hit retail shelves on October 10 in America and October 12 in Europe. The Playstation 3 version, unfortunately, will arrive a 'few weeks later'.

This news comes forth out of an preview from IGN, in which it says that the PS3 version will arrive a few weeks later than its Xbox 360 and PC counterparts. A reason for this short delay was not given. So Playstation 3 owners will have to wait a little longer to play the Half Life 2: Orange Box, which contains Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1 & 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal.

"You won't have to wait long to play with all the goodies in the Orange Box; it's due to ship on PC and Xbox 360 on October 10th in North America and October 12th in Europe, with the PS3 version to follow a few weeks later."
