Partial List of Trophies about Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer

4News.it: "The game introduces the appearance of trophies delayed.
Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer, the title of the psychological thriller genre, developed by Quantic Dream for Playstation 3, it differs greatly from the usual games for his different approach, more intense, more interactive.
To prevent this new experience being tainted by the "ding" of reaching a trophy, Quantic Dream has done so they are shown only between the loading of the chapters and not during the play action."

Here's the list of trophies so far revealed:

Platinum
Heavy Rain Master - complete all the trophies

gold
Heavy Rain Hero - complete the story
Four Heroes - complete with all four characters

Bronze
White Knight - save the woman threatened

the others will been revealed during this week.

I wonder how the character switching works in this game? Gold trophy for beating the game as each of 4 characters? Does that mean that you can only pick one character to play as during the end scenario of the game, or how does it work? Can't wait to find out!

mrv3215199d ago

Apparently when your character dies you move on. DEATH IS PERMANENT which is gonna be tense and dramatic.

callahan095199d ago (Edited 5199d ago )

So you think that beating the game with all 4 characters just means completing 1 play-through without any of them dying? Or if 1 dies then you just have to beat the game again and it will give you the trophy as long as that 1 that died in the last game doesn't die in this one? Something like that?

Nitrowolf25199d ago

well i would think you get the trophy because that character story is over, but mybe they want you to not die and see there true end, thats a bit confusing on that trophy if you think about it

Dev8 ing5199d ago

In Indigo Prophecy you just hit the enter key to change characters. There were also times when you could choose I guess which player's chapter you wanted to play.

mfwahwah5198d ago

You don't have a choice as to who you play at what time.

This is a story. You get to go through the different perspectives when you're meant to (as in: you don't actively choose your character).

What that trophy means is that you complete the game without any of the four characters dying during the story.

Myst5199d ago

Will try my best to plat this, and I usually don't like to even attempt platinum stuff. So far it looks easy ( then again Heavy Rain is not the same as other games so these insights that I'm getting from the list may very well be deceiving ). Can't wait to see what the others are, just as well can't wait for the game to come out.

Two-Face5199d ago (Edited 5199d ago )

Brush your teeth.

Bronze thropy:

Stand up from the bed.

Gold trophy:

You have managed to complete the game withouth falling asleep.

KILLERAPP5199d ago

Ever since the game was announce it was said that this game is not for everyone since the game is story driven and is like indigo prophecy, people that don't know what the game is like should go play indigo prophecy this game is like that, educate yourself before you talk or you be corrected that is just a fact of life, enjoy the games people...

Milky5199d ago (Edited 5199d ago )

If you die as one character can you never play as them again even if you make a new save?

Two-Face5199d ago

People take things way too seriously. kinda sad.

ikkeweer5199d ago

It's your comment history, I think, that makes ppl go hmmm

bjornbear5199d ago

makes me loose faith in mankind =/

multipayer5199d ago (Edited 5199d ago )

This is just the beginning of the hate stream, I guarantee there are even tons of ps3 fanboys on N4G that only got interested because of the lifelike graphics. It is going to be fun to "watch", and I'm already "playing" the comment section according to heavy rain rules.

mfwahwah5198d ago (Edited 5198d ago )

@3.2

That would be ridiculous. They only die "permanently" for that particular playthrough.

And Two-Face... I've heard that exact same joke for years now. Get some new material and test it out in the Open Zone where it belongs. Doing that here is pretty pathetic.

If there's one game that can go without/doesn't need trophies I think it's this one. I know I'll pick it up because its so freaking different, but I really can't judge if it will appeal to me when playing it.

Heartbroken-Menace5199d ago

This is the same fanbase that only enjoys space marines and FPS. PS3 gamers have variety in their library of games to choose from.

Is it Bungies alternate account? I have noticed he hasn't been posting as much and this guy just started posting a lot.

Ravage275199d ago

he actually expects people to believe him.

Seriously, why are you 360 f*gs trying so hard to downplay this game? Yes i know it looks miles better than any of your games and i understand it's normal for you guys to diss it in order to feel better. But why hate on Heavy Rain?

If you are a gamer, just be happy that there are games coming out that are *gasp* NOT another twitch-shooter. There are people out there who enjoys other genres and just 'coz it isn't your taste doesn't mean others can't like it. Unlike M$, Sony actually have the balls to publish high risk projects like HR. So STFU and GTFO, you have been trolling at every single Heavy Rain article and it's honestly getting old.

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe1251d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG1251d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman1250d ago (Edited 1250d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.

Have you played Detroit? While it’s my personal favorite, I fully understand many preferring Heavy Rain more. I’m glad you enjoyed Heavy Rain too.

bouzebbal1408d ago

def. one of my top 3 best experiences on PS3

ClayRules20121408d ago

bouzebbal

That’s awesome to hear! What’re the other 2 best experiences?

akaFullMetal1408d ago

Great game, need to get started on Detroit soon.

ClayRules20121408d ago

Glad you enjoyed the game! Yes, Detroit is a masterpiece of a game, and their best work to date “in my opinion”

ClayRules20121408d ago

Wow, 10 years...and yet, still one of the best/most emotional/thrilling gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

So grateful to Sony for believing in Quantic Dream’s vision for this game, and giving them a chance. I’ll never forget David Cage saying “We want to challenge the player, but not with the controller, but mentally, with their decisions of “How far would you go to save someone you love” Well, they broke my emotional gamer heart lol.

My teenage son refuses to play this game, because I’ve told him in little detail the emotional impact it had on me all those years ago. Maybe one day he will.

Z5011408d ago

Still have my origami crane they teach you how to make when you're installing for the first time.

C-H-E-F1408d ago

it's been 10 years? wow, that was so fast, I feel like this console gen went fast as well although it hasn't. I really look forward to the PS5 this holiday season though.
