Ohh no this crappy game, no one cares. Even if the PS3 gets the superior fixed version.

chidori6665212d ago

LMAO!!!! do not want his gimped game of 360 in my ps3 ;)

ClownBelt5212d ago

Within the two monts period(Feb - March), PS3 owners will get 5 Jrps. If ever this is true then they better release it around summer.

WKC - Feb 2
Star Ocean 4 - Feb 9
The Last Rebellion - Feb 23
FF 13 - March 9
Resonance of Fate - March 9

Just waiting for the NA release date of Ar tonelico 3.

SixTwoTwo5212d ago (Edited 5212d ago )

How do you have 2 disagrees? Those dates are correct except RoF which still doesn't have an official date in NA/EU IIRC.

OT: Yakuza 3 showed up on Amazon Germany weeks before the official announcement so who knows. If this is true I wonder what kind of extra content the game will have considering the original released over a year ago.

megaglitcher5212d ago

Thank god we can play the awesome Demon Souls because that list is painfully sad, not in quantity but in quality
All those games sucked on 360 so i don't expect a miracle now
2 are multiplatform and the WKC is apparently mediocre at best judging by the latest previews :(

sinncross5212d ago

I would honestly b surprised if SE did officially cancel this.

Some may not remember but at one stage TLF PS3 was higher on Famitsu Readers most wanted list then Star Ocean 4 360 was.

Sure the PS3 user base is higher but my point is that SE were clearly targeting the wrong demographic,. at least in Japan, with their HD titles.

Anyways I hear bad things about TLR but that many felt that the PC version fixed a couple of noticeable issues. If a PS3 version does exist they better work on the PC edition and add more fixes and extra content to make it worthwhile in some degree.

FamilyGuy5212d ago

I'll get excited all I want about this unconfirmed bit of info. I don't mind that it's coming so late and I don't mind if this turns out to be a real accident. If it comes great, if it doesn't, so be it.

But I'm still excited about the possibility.

Redempteur5212d ago

i don't like last rebellion but later maybe (maybe)
otherwise all of them will be mine !!( with yakuza 3 and heavy rain ).

Blaster_Master5212d ago

All I care about is WKC, Then the International verion of WKC2.

sikbeta5212d ago

Ah...This Game $UCKS!

WKC all the way...

gaffyh5212d ago

It's not a really bad RPG, imo Infinite Undiscovery is worse, it just had some problems with framerate on then 360 version. The main reason most people won't like it is that there is too much reliance on chance, you can't choose the exact attack you want to do, and everything seems to happen randomly.

Also the battles are very long, some took over an hour to complete, and then would continue directly on to another battle. Quite ridiculous, but still I did finish the game, because I wanted to. Can't say the same about IU.

As long as they fix the framerate issues, it should be fine, but I would recommend that only hardcore JRPG fans get the game, everyone else will hate it.

Just what I would expect to hear from a sony loyalist.

Get a life and enjoy the games.

Actually The Last Remnant is one of the better games iv played in a long time, The PC version is amazing with over 40 story characters to recruit each with there own story. About 80 side missions fully animated and 4 towns that you would never visit in the main story you need to explore to find them.

The 360 version no disrespect is a piece of garbage though. The max amount of unique story characters you could use was 6. And with 40 to recruit you where stuck just using the main story character's making side missions to recruit them pointless. With the PC version you could use 18 unique story characters in your main team.

Battles go about 3x quicker on the PC version due to no slow down or delay to casting spells. So them 1 hour main boss battles became 20 minutes. The graphics are stunning on the PC to. If the PS3 version features the improvements the PC version had. Which where vast it would be an excellent RPG and one of the best on the system.

Honestly The Last Remnant is an amazing game with a brilliant story its just the 360 version of the game is a total waste of space. If a PS3 version does come out without the party leader limits and turbo mode in battles. Expect an amazing game because its insanely deep with about 100 hours of gameplay.

I think, and hope, you're WRONG about White Knight. The game has already been out for about 2 years in Japan and from the reviews I've read, it's gotten an 8 and an 8.5.

That's not mediocre last I checked. Again, know the facts before crying foul. The game LOOKS great and hopefully will PLAY great. They have added some features for the U.S. version that Japan did not get.

Let's enjoy WKC!

Lightsaber5212d ago

If funny how idiot fanboys chance their mind about a game if they think there is even a remote chance it will be on there favorite system. You guys and been talkin sh!t about Star Ocean 4 and The Last Rebellion for about the pass year and now all of a sudden they are the 5 top games ? Having played but I can tell you they both suck ass. The voice acting in SO4 is so bad you just want to mute it when you are playing. TLR laggings is unbarable (if they can fix that it might be ok)

Does anyone still care for this game. Square Enix boasted about how it's an RPG for the world. Then delayed it, and pretty much canned the game on one system leaving fans in the dark and have yet to own up as to the state of play with the PS3 version. This game should be boycotted if it ever reaches PS3.

Redempteur5212d ago (Edited 5212d ago )

i agree that is unless the game is totaly redone ( i doubt SE will do it but why not )
Fix the framrate issue , the textures pop-up ..add more quests and more side quests ( maybe a better pacing ? )
and i'll look at this game ...

ps : they also need some serious dialog fix ..

now that i think about it ..change everything except the sound effects

jackdoe5212d ago

Rewrite the plot and then I'll be interested. The PC demo did nothing for me. Nor did the sh!tty running animations.

tplarkin75212d ago

The Last Remnant is the very definition of "mediocre". It won't sell, so no boycott is necessary.

lelik5212d ago

i quit this game 5 minutes in.

frjoethesecond5212d ago

Id didnt even take me 5 mins to quit.

While I agree that the combat in Star Ocean 5's combat is pretty fun, saying that its story is more enjoyable than its predecessors is highly debatable. Also, it's not just the technical issues the game suffers from.

Gaming4Life19811550d ago

Star Ocean 5 was garbage and I was a huge star ocean fan.

Docmortem1550d ago

Completely disagree the games I played from the list all deserve their scores (Star Ocean, Nier, Tales of Zesteria, Type-0). While there are certainly people that love these games, they have flaws in many categories, that justify those scores.
Star Ocean especially bored the hell out of me. Lame story and face roll battle system (I finished the game anyway). These games are really niche and when rated by a broader public, fall short. In my opinion even in their own genre.

solideagle1550d ago

I personally have not played any game below 80 and thought wow this should have been 80-90 game. The only game I thought should have been 90 was Shadow Hearts II: Covenant. I am pretty sure there will be some games but average score usually is pretty good indication.

do you recommend any JRPG which you think were good/amazing but it didn't score well? I just purchased Tokyo xanadu but it seems way too slow like trails game but trail at least has good story. I will give it a shot

rainslacker1550d ago

I think there were quite a few JRPG games that got hit with lower meta scores last gen when all these reviewers were on their anti-anime tropes kick. Not that they should get up there into the high 80s or 90s, but they weren't 60-70 games either.

That's mostly died off this gen, thankfully

WickedLester1550d ago

Ni No Kuni 2 is way better than it's metascore.

solideagle1550d ago

I think Ni No Kuni 2 combat is pretty generic but if you add all DLCs then its combat is pretty awesome. I purchased the complete edition so I can say DLC changes the combat completely

FinalAeonX1550d ago

Ni no Kuni 1 is way better than its metascore

Father__Merrin1550d ago

meta scores are rubbish best ignore them. many gems out there

solideagle1550d ago (Edited 1550d ago )

can you please name few?

Kocurstvo1549d ago (Edited 1549d ago )

Useless to argument troll, but e.g. Eat Lead is hilarious and extremely funny, yet mediocre on metastupids.... Lords of the Fallen, Strange brigade... I could name hundreds

It's a good game, but the story is only okay. The gameplay is where the game really shines, but the game itself does an atrocious job of explaining it's own systems. Basically, you need to read a "what I wish I knew before I started" somewhere online, and then the game becomes great.
