30 new Tekken 6 shots

First debuted at E3 2005 with the now apocryphal Jin Kazama footage that suggested PS3 would reach levels of realism that our tiny minds simply couldn't comprehend, GamesRadar got hold of some actual screenshots of what the PS3 version will look like.

Forget Tekken 6. People should try Virtua Fighter 5. Believe me (or not) it ridiculously awesome.

Edit:
I hope this time around Kazuya Mishima is the main focus in Tekken 6 and not Jin Kazama. I simply dont like him since he overshadows Kazuya in the recent games.

Online is the only element missing from VF5. I hope VF6 sure has it.

The controls are very fluid but is a little challenging to master depending on the character your playing. Overall, from my experience playing VF5 the controls are spot on. If you’re worried about the controls don’t be since it is easy to learn and then eventually master your character. The beauty of it is that every character inVF5 handles, plays, and feel differently, believe me it’s a good thing.

Dont get me worry I love Tekken series. I played every single one of them except the arcade versions. Why dont you give Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter a shot. You wouldn't be disappointed.

There is no need to be hardcore to get into the VF series. Beginner gamers can enjoy it just as much. Just dont go into the hardcore clubs in the game straight away and you will be safe:)

not really a fan of the VF series. only sega saturn VF2.
now... i wanna ask you, is the controlls easy to get used to?... like combos?

I want to get this game for the 360 but i'm concerned about the controls.

VF, as a series, is very hardcore, and the level of challenge within the game is quite substantial. If you're a big DOA or Namco fighter fan, this probably will frustrate you, as combos and counters are very difficult to pull off until you know a truckload about both your character and your opponent. Some folks are f'in amazing at it right out the gate, but the vast majority will give up because a lot of the gameplay isn't on the surface.

If you do stick with it, be prepared to be fighting alone or in arcades, as finding a VF fan in your immediate circle of friends can be quite difficult.

From what i can see, the graphics are not impressive at all. I'm sure the game will work, I just dont' see why a game that takes this long to make can't boost an impressive level of detail. VF looks way better, in my humble opinion, both in respect to character animation and environment.

Just needs a fair balance of fighters! Having all women have more juggles than men is ridiculous! Not trying to sound sexist just stating that guys should have as much juggle as women.

I think all you guys had TOO big expectations (either that or your just not happy that its not coming for the xbox 360), in my opinion these look execellent. My only complaint is that they didnt make the clothe move more naturally on the character. It looks like its solid matter, not soft material that blows in the wind or makes folds when performing a different move. That would be a GRAND detail. I would love that attention to detail.

Either way, this will be awesome :).

The game is still a very early build. Last I heard on the Tekken boards its not even 40% done so relax! It will be awesome! Tekken games are always awesome.

aoze: Just announced today (I think) they are re-releasing Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection for the PSN with online play. Speculation says that they are doing this to test for online play for Tekken 6!

MoonDust: Do you know why no fighters have online? Because internet connections can't handle the fast by the second gameplay. The Tekken guys are gonna give it a try, test in Dark Resurrection for Tekken 6. The problem is we need internet connections like S.Korea which are 8 times faster than N.A. and cheaper!

kingofps3: Yeah I know DOA4 had online, but talk about a lag fest! I've played it and frankly it was pretty bad, lag and stutter were horrible. Its why I don't think fighters will ever really make an online jump till we have S.Korea internet connection speeds in N.A & Europe!

Indeed, as far as I know, youre completely correct, plus they are putting a BETA version of Tekken 6 in Japanese arcades in about 6-5 days.

One of my biggest problems w/ VF5 was that it looked like an unfinished product. What I mean by that is only the characters were polished while the environments didn't look up to par w/ the rest of the game. So hopefully Tekken delivers on all aspects graphically speaking, and lets hope they take us online here. Just like VF 5 you know Tekken will have some great combat so that's the least of my concerns.

while I'll agree that it possibly should be a standard amongst fighting games I don't agree that online should be the standard [generally speaking]. The point of fighting games is to compete and the single player aspects is nothing more than a $1 arcade game in that aspect. So offering online and the ability to play an arcade game [fighter ]online should be the norm. Some might disagree for whatever reason/s but at the end of the day fighting games are about head to head matches and not all of us are 12 years old and game w/ our friends who just so happen to enjoy all the same games we do...

Tekken 3 was the last good tekken, i wish they would just let it die already!! Is it me or is Kazuya constantly dying and coming back just a little to often these days?

And there is now reason for this game to give up on. It's a fighter, and people buy fighters more for the gameplay than the story. And every Tekken has newer and better gameplay, so don't know why this game shouldn't be made anymore. Besides, this fighter sells more copies than any other, I have all of them and they're my favorite. After Tekken comes Soul Calibur.

I have yet to see a game that strikes me as more realistic then half-life two from any console. Does this game feature a real physics engine now or is it the same as before?

I hope Lilis ten hit combos stay the same.

Half-Life 2 was a let down. There were very few normal maps and no realtime shadows. Deus Ex: IW came out a year before HL2 and had excellent physics, realtime shadows, and normal mapping galore. The facial animations in HL2 were decent but severely limited.
