Fallout 3 patched to 1.6.1 on PS3 - Broken Steel is coming soon

1.6.1 patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 has just been released, which probably means that the Broken Steel DLC will finally be released on the Sony platform soon, most likely tomorrow.

It would seem I played this game a year too early on PS3. Oh well, next game from Bethesda will have to wait since I want to play the "full" game instead of most at release and some later on.

once i heard about the exclusivity of the dlc i pretty much stopped playing.. didn't want to get to the end only to find out i couldnt continue and was already too deep into the ps3 version to start over on the 360..

It's this patch also a fix for the multiples lock up on the game without reasons. Or just the enable patch for the DLC to be usable in-game?.

I think it locked up twice the entire play through, for me, but I know others have had issues. I wonder what was up with that?

that's so depressing... I really hope the GOTY version fix those locks ups for sure or I'm not buy it.

I have played through the game twice now on PS3 and I have not run into any bugs at all. I am not sure what you guys are talking about. I am about to start my third play through because I lost all my game saves. I will have to keep an eye out for any bugs.

i mean the constant freezes, enemies flying in the air when they're dead.<---(now this is funny) -__- enemies get stuck under the map,weapons taking for ever to switch.stuff like that.lol.its not "OMG WTF THIS GAME IS UNPOLISHED!!!"its just bothersome sometimes.

Especially used th G.E.C.K mode... Oh, God it was so frustrating after be playing for 1 hours and lose exp and lvls after so much spend time on the game.

So what I see in my games is common for you too then?? Here's hoping Bethesda caught wind of these problems.

Ever get the glitch where people/objects stretch like rubber bands, whip back, and fling off into the horizon?

Or the one where you kill someone and their weapon gets stuck in mid-air, and you have to search the floating weapon to loot their bodies?

Ever (accidentally or not) blow up more than 5 cars and freeze the game?

Ever close the door on a person's body and then the model gets eaten up by the door/walls and floats around through the wall twitching? (that one's in oblivion too, heheh)

There's a lot of stuff that needs fixing in that game.. Good thing it's a great game, otherwise I would have gotten fed up by now..

This is great. Finally they have patched F3, so hopefully the first DLC will come out tomorrow 9/17/09.

every time i put in a ps3rd exclusive i get to patch and re download patches......socom confrontation.....bioshock.... .and all other ps3rd games..... patchstation3 at it's finest...not only that i got 3.1 to fix 3.0.....poor droids still it freezes :(

I just downloaded the patch as well. i also saw the "downloads" on the bottom of the menu. Can't wait for the DLC.

I wonder how much it will cost per DLC, I would like to get them all since I really liked the game, but I am still weighting between getting fallout GOTY if the DLC:s are like 10€/$ each.

Here's hoping they just bundle it all together and charge like 24.99 or 19.99 for it or something. Shivering Isles was handled like that, they also released a bundled disc copy for it too.

Or they could give it away for FREEE?!

Development costs says that won't happen though.

Ill wait for the GOYT disc version instead of downloading the DLC of the store, i have a feeling the disc will be better than the orginal disc

if my interest in Fallout 3 never went away I don't speak for everyone but seriously this is why I don't like late versions of anything if I like the stuff something usually gets in the way.

For example had the DLC come out at almost the same time as the 360 ones my peak interest for Fallout would have made me buy them right away but now too much is occupying my mind.

Great! Too bad just got my platinum for it like 3 days ago... Suffered through a lot of bugs. Like, A LOT. Random freezing, usually when I would use VATS, or when I was pulling up my pip-boy. I had a glitch with Fawkes, glitches with monsters spawning a mile underground, and still being able to attack you and your merc if you stood on the spot where they should be. I also run into this CONSTANT glitch with every new game (I started like 4 or 5 lol..I love the game--it's just so damn buggy), anyone recall that old old guy in Megaton who gives you XP and caps for turning in scrap metal? yeah, THAT dude, he permanently disappears in EVERY one of the games I made. I'm really hoping this patch fixes a lot those bugs, as I'm sure there are tons more that exist.
