cool. some i knew, some i didnt. i didnt know if u held the reset it would reset to default settings. i was hopin for something really big though. watever, good list for ps3 owners.

I took my PS3 to my friends house and the pic didnt show cause my T.V. is 1080i and his reg 480. I didnt know how to reset the res.

best one is sharing download games. Don't waste your money guys! Find some friends and split downloadable games between you. Eg. Tekken will cost you $4 each! No tricks here, totally legit.

Here's another one If you have a Sony Pictures Blu-ray movie on the menu screen hit triangle(for controller) (just press numbers if you have blu-ray blutooth remote)and input 7669 (which spells SONY) then press enter it will bring up 6 Hd Tv calibration screens to calibrate your Hd Tv but the downside is it has no instructions and it's very basic so you'll have to know what your doing.

I don't know if this is a old trick, but I found it out on my own. My cell phone has a mini usb port just like the one on the ps3 controller, so I plug my cell to my ps3 and was able to down load a whole ablumn that is stored on my harddrive just like a computer, but faster.

What about the first one (Play games from any country). Can i really play NTSC games with my PAL tv???. For example if im going to buy a game from USA, and trying to play it in Europe, i think i cant do that because the problem is in Different colour encoding system. So anyone??

any PS3 game will play on any PS3 system

You can also download videos from there. I downloaded a Devil May Cry 4 trailer in Hi-Def and it worked... tho there are 2 and one ends with an "A" the other with a "B". The "B" one didn't work "A" plays alright

yes, but the problem is in tv it will not display any picture. PS3 will certanly play NTSC games.

if i were you i would post this question on the playstation forum. as for my US system, it will pay japanesse ps3 games. i never thought searching for ps3 saves. resistance black ops with a skull mask? ill try tonight

the other week i took my PS3 to a friends house where they have an HDTV, but when taking it back home, to my crappy normal TV the screen didn't show anything since it was still reading from the HDDMI port.

so... i took a look in the instructions and on the page about HDMI setting, it tells you quite clearly the trick to hold the 'ON' button down until you hear a second beep.
The system then resets the screen resolution.

the same goes for point numbers 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10
THEY ARE ALL COVERED IN THE USER MANUAL!

i tried saving ps2 save files to my ps3 but it doesnt work, it wants a media storage device. i can transfer it to a memory stick, but cant get it back to the ps3. but i never tried saving ps3 files. anyone know if theres a way to get downloaded ps2 saves on your ps3 to work?

Yes all PS3 games will play in any PS3 because Bluray disk is region free as far as games/movies are concerned... but you have to make sure your TV is cabable of NTSC playback. (All modern CRT tellies do, and so do all Plasma and LCD TVs)

No, blu-ray movies are region coded I'm afraid.

Casino Royal is region free e.g., so no, not all BluRay movies are region coded. A look on the back of the case helps to make sure you can watch it.
PS3 games are all region free atm, but could get region coded. Sony said they don't plan to region code 1st party titles though.

and like someone else said already, most of the tips are in the freaking manual, how comes some wanabe news writer calls em "things Sony won't tell you" eludes my wisdom.

You can change it and delete the picture after. It wont dissapear from you mp3 album ;)
