5V5 - Everyone has been saying 4v4. 5 makes more sense.

CANT WAIT!

himdeel5467d ago

...they are ruined and I couldn't be happier.

Lucreto5467d ago (Edited 5467d ago )

I thought there were too much games last year they your there is so much more.

My wallet is hiding from me now.

meepmoopmeep5467d ago

i'm more interested in the co-op but yeah, wow, this game

Max Power5467d ago

were saying 4v4 but in the psblog video i saw 5 red names.

Freak of Nature5467d ago

Yup...An incredible game just got even more fantastic...

I like this part...

"Plunder, a unique style of multiplayer competition that encourages team work to transport a treasure over dynamic terrain such as ledges and obstacles. Plunder brings truly vertical game play to traditional multiplayer modes."

A unique extra twist with this plunder mode........ the SP will still get all the love and then some as I have seen in some of the articles. A great thing.

They added Devs, for the MP and Co-op.So the SP will still be out of this World, all the while we get even more modes to go with it....

Team ICO better watch it,this game may take over it's "most anticipated game crown" for me,and that says a whole lot.........

Sarcasm5467d ago

I've been hearing everyone clamor for Team ICO's game, but we haven't even really seen anything yet to be excited.

Let's hope we see a real-time trailer or something at E3 this year.

Otherwise, Uncharted 2 is a sure bet ever since the first trailer hit on spike tv.

jizz in my pants

morganfell5467d ago

I love the sound of this combat:

"Chloe is playable here, along with Sully and Nathan (Elena's available in competitive multiplayer, but neither her nor Sully are confirmed to be in the single-player game), and seeing her in action is heartening; she's definitely got character. For example, when you creep up behind enemies, you can use a sneak attack finisher. Nathan has a pretty standard "all-business" neck-snapping move, but Chloe leaps onto the opponent's back for her chiropractic ministrations. Her melee move set also includes one particularly flashy maneuver that involves her hitting the ground, sliding past the enemy, and giving him a swift kick."

Ghoul5467d ago (Edited 5467d ago )

I loved gears and now look at this, cover system (i fancy uncharteds more then gears) climbing, melee, no fantasy setting.

im STUNNED, uncharted 1 was allready my favoritenextgen title sofar. YEAH

10 as a cap seems a bit low for the PS3. Would have been nice to hit the golden 16-18 and 32 just for show. But considering how amazing uncharted looks in both offline/online so far(based on screens), Im sure 10 is the max to keep the framerate stable.

God damn this game looks so f'cking hot! Check out the multiplayer trailer on gametrailers!

Stubacca5467d ago

Does Uncharted need a multiplayer? I thought the original was phenomenal but I think multiplayer action might ruin it.

Think about it, if Rockstar put more effort into the campaign in GTAIV instead of doin a crappy multiplayer, the game coulda been phenomenal.

Can't wait for Uncharted 2 though.

morganfell5467d ago

No. Wells was very specific. They hired additional people for the MP. They decided that it would only be implemented if it would not affect the fidelity of the SP experience.

Stubacca5467d ago

You inform and blow away misconceptions.

And you have a killer avatar.

morganfell5467d ago

Thanks. I didn't disagree with you either. It is only that the entire story isn't leaking out fast enough. Wells should do a vlog interview so more of this information is brought to the forefront.

Sir Ken_Kutaragi5467d ago

Thought it was going to be called - 'Uncharted 2:Micro$oft are Thieves' ;-D

Arsenal4Ever5467d ago

Hmm so much this year.

inFAMOUS
Uncharted 2
Ratchet ACIT
God of War 3
Killzone 2

Still more to be announced at E3

CaseyRyback_CPO5467d ago

not to mention multiplats that we may/may not get. Although most mp games are rent-fodder.

Sarcasm5467d ago

I'm getting each one of those. Though, Infamous looks fun but I'm still not entirely sold on it yet.

iDystopia5467d ago

God of War 3 is coming in 2009??

I thought it was:

Uncharted 2
Infamous
Fat Princess
Ratchet

...and hopefully more at E3.

cmacdonald5467d ago

They are going to water down the single player to please 2% of the population that wants co-op. And if multiplayer isn't better than what is out there now why have it.

Sarcasm5467d ago

I doubt it'. It's Naughty Dog, we're still gonna get a great single player experience.

Multiplayer and co-op just adds to it.

Freak of Nature5467d ago (Edited 5467d ago )

Actually they have stated point blank, read some of the articles on the deatils....That the SP mode will be more expansive then the original.....So we get 3 in one here....

Expansive SP..

CO-op

MP...

All this equals= Fantastic...

silvacrest5467d ago

what exactly are you baseing your comments on?

a naught dog dev?
an anonamiss source? lol
your gut?
or other games following suit?

im gonna guess and say nothing, nothing at all

Pennywise5467d ago

I usually dont announce this, but - I took a bubble from you.

I took a bubble because if you would of spent two seconds researching a little info you would see that coop has nothing to do with the single player campaign. You would of seen that ND has hired more people so they can have people working on coop/mp. You would also have known that the majority of the time producing Uncharted was spent creating the game engine... with the engine in place developing for the sequel takes way less time.

I took a bubble because you are stealth trolling and infesting this site. I took a bubble because you are probably going to be the cause of N4G users to catch the swine flu. I wasnt wearing my mask when I read your comment, so I am worried for myself.

ND has produced one of the highest production quality games for the PS3 so far and I doubt they will disappoint with part deuce.

Platforming while in multiplayer deathmatch is going to be amazing.

Cry yourself to sleep... its coming to life this year!

morganfell5467d ago (Edited 5467d ago )

You trusted Naughty Dog before, right? So why think they are lying when Wells said they brought in people specifically for the MP and that they made sure the SP fidelity was in no way sacrificed.

redsquad5467d ago

I can imagine some companies doing that, but not NAUGHTY DOG.

Currently playing Drakes Fortune on crushing, next will be to replay Among Thieves, but I'm sure it still holds up today.

P_Bomb1444d ago (Edited 1444d ago )

Recently re-platinumed 1-3. Uncharted 2 aged better than I even expected. I enjoyed it more now than I did a decade ago. It’s more polished than 1, tighter than 3 and Yemen in 3 was gorgeous. Shambhala out-prettied Ubar though. 60fps w higher res’ made for a damn good rerun.

Abnor_Mal1443d ago

Question: When you say Uncharted2 aged better than expected, are you talking about the original PS3 game or the remastered collection on PS4. I ask because I think that a remastered version of the game would look and play better than the original.

I doubt that the original ran at 60 frames, how many years old is the remastered collection anyway.

I need to replay the original trilogy along with the collection, not a fan of the collection trophy of beating levels in a set time and don't think the originals required that for platinum.

P_Bomb1443d ago (Edited 1443d ago )

@abnor_mal
It’s true that the remasters have upped the resolution and given it 60fps, but the base game is the same. The art design and base textures/physics/ animations are the same yet still look contemporary. More-so than UC1 which isn’t as tight, or UC3 in some cases which I found a bit clunky in close quarters.

UC2 level design was a great evolution in bringing the verticality from the jungle into rural/urban settings while maintaining smooth animation transitions. Drake still moves better than the ginger in Star Wars Jedi. Outdoor areas are better lit.

UC2 also has more action and better pacing imo, which helps when replaying a game 10 years later. Kept me engaged.

You don’t need to time trial for platinum. They stuck the speedrun trophies in a seperate extended dlc category so have no fear.

MadLad1444d ago

I thought the originals were good, but not great. I understand that puts me in the minority here. That said, Uncharted 4 was freaking fantastic.

Profchaos1444d ago (Edited 1444d ago )

Yeah I understand the hate for 4 prior to playing it I was firmly against it and felt like 3 wrapped things up already but now after playing it I think it was the best in the franchise.

Now I look back at two and I feel like I'm playing an on the rails shooter everything is so tightly scripted including the infamous train scene you simply can't make a mistake

Rimeskeem1444d ago

I think Uncharted 2 is a lot like AC2. Both games took the idea and basically improved it in every single way.

Movefasta19931443d ago

Uc2, AC2,Halo2, Soul calibur 2, Killzone 2, Infamous 2 , Dishonored 2 and a few more. The only negative thing I have against uc2, and imo it annoyed me,are the blue apes, uncharted 1 handled the super natural far better.
