I beat all Ratchet and Clank except for the psp cause I neva played that one yet! By far the most impresive one! I can't wait 2 see the new Morphgun, Rhyno3, an hopefully the deadly Blackhole Gun! I plan on playing this game it's launch day, and kicking Captain Quark but again!

626 - if you mean depth of field, that is a nice feature tho, but it is used in too many games lately, to me it looks everytime like i needed glasses to see better :) i lke it more when it looks crispy and clear

I'm not saying that the finishing would be upto a full blown CGI flick, but MAN !!!, do they come close. This is some of the best and most natural depth of field I've ever seen in a videogame. The colours are vibrant and puts viva pin'ata to shame and the animation is (as always) top notch.

I've already seen insane quality in Little Big Planet's visuals, almost identical to a fully mastered CGI movie...but yeah, for a running franchise to get into next-gen, devs should definitely take clues from Insomniac for R&C-Future suddenly marks all the way up my most wanted list.

In just a few months, PS3 is gonna ROCK !!!

everyone is gonna want to own... and i think that they will get to that point soon. and by then they will stay a Sony centric developer sim[ply because they know the advantages of working with just one system, thus bringing bring only the best the hardware can offer keeping in mind the limitations of the hardware. the gaming industry really needs more independent devs like insomniac across all consoles, Nintendo, xbox360. fantastic stuff and this will be a game i play all day for my ps3

With all the stuff I've seen lately on the ps3, I am about to finish my God of war 2, sell my ps2 and get a ps3. All the good stuff is coming out later but I will pick up Resistance and Motorstorm for now. I wonder when Heavenly sword is coming out. AAHH 2007 will be a good year for gaming.

I have a 360, and i'm waiting to buy a ps3. this game looks fun, gotta admit it. This post is about a ps3 game. Even if some 360 fanboys were on this post, they could of said something nice, but it's when immature people start posting that it really starts to get tired. The game looks great graphically, and looks fun. I've never played the series, but this one looks interesting. I'm glad sony is starting to push out some games. It is suppose to be a gaming console after all. I hope they concentrate on that for a min. Gaming first, multimedia hub second. That's why i haven't bought a ps3 yet. because of games. I love my 360, but i'm not blinded by biased views. But you, your just an immature gamer who thinks by posting a comment like that your cool. Grow up, this game is probably gonna be rated Teen, so hopefully your old enough to play it.

Immature fanboys of all sides do nothing more than make their preference look worse in the end. Sony fanboys are just as bad as MS and Nintendo fanboys, particularly the ones that just can't admit that all three consoles will have some must play titles.

The only thing I don't really see is when people claim that Sony isn't focussing on games, and whenever a new great PS3 title is announced or revealed, they say, "Now this is more like it! Sony is finally putting games first!"

My view is that it takes a long time to make a game (2 to 3 years for a AAA title often). Games like Resistance, Ratchet and Clank Future, Heavenly Sword, Heavy Rain, LA Noire, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Little Big Planet, etc, have been in development for a long time, and in some cases, over the 3 year mark.

Just because we are hearing about these titles *now* doesn't mean that Sony just whipped them up yesterday.

As for the multimedia angle, what's easier, posting a few movies or videos on your network service, or developing a fullblown gaming experience?

It doesn't cost millions of dollars to press your high def movie onto a Blu Ray for distribution, so why not do it for those consumers that maybe *want* more than just a gaming console? Sony is getting the best of both worlds here.

They own a lot of movie studios, as well as music and other forms of entertainment and electronics beyond gaming.

With the PS3, they've found a way to consolidate all of these things in one major product, where they can, ultimately, save money yet maximize profits.

Picture this scenario, the Sony music branch, instead of spending millions and millions on advertising and marketing their latest music sensation, they just publish a bunch of ads and music samples on the PS Network? And maybe even sell the album as a download from the network? They'd save millions.

Now apply that scenario to their other forms of media, from gaming, to movies, to television or video.

If the PS3 becomes the success that Sony hopes it will, they stand to reap incredible benefits.

As a company, it makes perfect sense to go this route.

As a gamer, I could really care less about certain aspects of the PS3's multimedia functionality (like music downloads), but I love HD movies and gaming, and I love the convenience of things like browsing the web or checking my email from the comfort of my couch or bed.

Oh yeah, and onto the topic at hand, this game looks great. I like the Ratchet games (I prefer the Sly Cooper series, ultimately, but R&C are fantastic as well), so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Insomniac has an incredible track record, so I have an overall good feeling about the quality of this product.
