Mindless Paranormal Shoot-'Em-Up: The Sequel

Globe and Mail game columnist writes: "I know I played the original F.E.A.R., but I'll be damned if I can remember a single thing about it. I've no clue as to its characters or story, no memory of its weapons or levels. The only thing I do remember is that I thought it was a competent but decidedly humdrum shooter.

The same can be said about its sequel, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. I'm about halfway through this paranormal first-person bang-bang, and while I've no serious criticisms of its action-packed firefights or occasional scares (other than that they feel extraordinarily derivative of other games and movies), it is nonetheless mindless, inconsequential stuff. An adequate time killer, nothing more..."
