Dangerous LittleBigPlanet glitch found

PS3Life.nl reports that someone discovered a dangerous LittleBigPlanet glitch that will screw the whole game. When you make a so called 'Wheel of Doom' you will constantly die, even when you go to your POD, and also when you reboot your PlayStation 3. Hopefully Media Molecule will bring a patch out soon. MM has known about this since the first week this game came out. i sent them an email about it a long time ago

i was experminting with the wheel u get in the 2nd or 3rd level and maxed out the speed...
happend to me and i had to delete about 8 hours of work and had to start over. its a pretty screwed up glitch if u ask me.

not sure where to send this, but i found a not so major, major bug that screws up your saved file.

I was in the create mode earlier today and I was messing around with the faris type wheel, I put sponges onto the ends and maxed out the speed which was around 60. When I grabbed onto the sponge and let go, I was flung backwards towards to starting spawn point and it "glitched" or something. Its kinda hard to explain what happend.
When I quit the create mode and went back into my pod to contiune with the story I opened a level and I lost all my lives instantly, and died, and was forced back into the pod. While in the pod I kept respawning and dieing over and over while in mid air. The loop lasted for over 5 mins with no sign of stoping. So I tried quitting the game and restarting my system, but the same thing kept happening. So I tried a different user on my system and it didn't happen. So I went back into my main user account and it still happened and I was forced to delete my save file to get it to stop.

A 'dangerous game glitch' is a glitch that when it occurs, it blows your LCD or PS3 up and inflicts some kind of physical damage to you!

I think this is one case where you can probably delete the Game Data and it should work then.

ive tried it when it happend to me
u have to delete your save data.

even if u log on to another account on ur ps3 and use the glitched account as player 2 it will still happen.
i was forced to delete my save data for it to work

You don't lose your game progress, the game data and saved data are kept separate.

When playing user created levels do not grab onto anything that spins REALLY FAST or you may lose everything. There are users out there creating levels just to get others to lose their data. SO WATCH OUT!

Sucks for some people who had 100% and lost everything. Some people got so angry they returned the game, haha.

xbox actually has no place in gaming and it wouldve died if microsoft hadnt spent so much on advertising. Ps3 is the most powerful console and has the most features while the wii has the wiimote so they aim at different extremes. Then there is the 360 which isn't the most powerful or the most family friendly... Anything which can be done on 360 can be done on ps3 so i really don't see why people back it. It still uses dvds while ps3 uses blu ray. It's like if your pc was still using cds while others were using dvds. So the 360 just isn't capable of what the ps3 is capable of but i guess logic won't work on you guys because you feel so much like you belong in xbox live that you will pretend that none of what i said is true. Ah well

Everyone needs to e-mail or message Media Molecule, either through the game or the website. They have to know about this problem.

Thankfully, it's something that requires a rather excessive setting to achieve, but it's still jacked that it happens, regardless of the effects that go into level making. I would have thought that they would have tested this speed effect on your character in the beta; obviously enough people know about the speed setting to make it happen.

when it happend to me i discarded the changes in the level and i got sent into my pod like normal, but when i went into the story mode i lost all my lives and it started messing me up in the pod after that.

just don't make any spinning wheels that have max rotation speed.

First of all, LBP is also the start of a possible franchise. It is also an entirely different game to Gears. Gears has one storyline and online. LBP you can make anything. It would be impossible to glitch test every single creation possibility. Whether it's most anticipated or not, it's still going to have glitches, every game does. It's a big game. did everyone forget that you can backup your save data on a external device? for a while now i think everyone did forget about this little feature so you can bring your save data to your friends playstation by creating your ID on his machine and presto you can play lpb with all your saved data at your friends place. and also will add to this. if your a lucky beta tester and you got into a beta. dont knwo if this will work for all betas but my friend was able to get the R2 beta through my PSN downloaded cart and we played online using our own IDs. even after deleting my own ID on tha machine he could stil play R2 beta. so everyone that sais they have to restart after obtaining 100% its only your own fault for not saving your save data somewhere else.

If you simply "Discard changes" the problem would not happen in the 1st place. I know the video is only showing you what it does but any normal person would just not save it.
