Sony Announces that Resistance 2 has been Released Today in North America

Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) announced today the North American release of Resistance 2 available exclusively on the PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) computer entertainment system. Created by independent developer Insomniac Games, Resistance 2 represents its fourth PS3 exclusive title. The sequel to the best-selling PS3 launch title, Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 expands upon its predecessor with a bigger, more innovative and technically-advanced experience. In addition to an epic single-player campaign, Resistance 2 offers an unprecedented eight-player, class-based online co-op campaign and 60-player online competitive multiplayer. MyResistance.net, a global destination site for all Resistance fans, also has been re-designed to combine rich social networking features with a deep stat-tracking system while offering an unparalleled amount of user customization.
