That Gaming Site: Mortal Kombat II removed from the PSN?

Reports are flooding the PSN forums about Mortal Kombat 2 having disappearing all of a sudden from the PSN store, not even showing on the download history. Click the link for the full story.

This sucks considering i recently replaced my PS3 and it no longer appears in my download list. I won't complain to sony yet so if MK3 does come out make i can get that for free:D

Ya but the game was messed up. You couldnt play single player because it was ridiculously hard. I know I was never able to beat it and I beat it lots of times as a kid.

Microsoft has decided not to go through with that, and it is a shame that it's removed I was looking to download that for PSN later this month. Hope it'll be back up.

I'm pretty sure I seen Mortal Kombat II on the most downloaded list a couple of times. I hope they're upgrading it.

It's the best 5 bucks I have spent and there's always someone online to play.

it was good but online for me.... i couldnt win at all. i deleted it but now that its gone for good i wish i can redownload it.... -_- oh well, i still got tekken5...

Another possiblity is when they licensed it the game was only licensed for a few months. But I doubt that since it's not very common for such things to happen with games on a online distribution center.

Plus considering how Midways stock has been below $5 for a hella long time and they've been losing money ever since the Dreamcast, I think they wouldn't have been quick to put such a restriction on it.

well that's weird i was just playing MKII earlier today but i already had it downloaded months ago & thank god i still have it on my HDD i was thinking about deleting it a few days back but now im glad i didn't X)
but yea that sucks for the ppl planning to buy the game hopefully they bring it bak on & maybe for a cheaper price as a greatest hits thing or something (a guy can dream)

Not it's not BS. It's gone from the US Store, i'm one of the users that posted on the PS Forums post. I got the same reply when I emailed Midway. They said it was still available on the Europe Store and they were looking into why it was gone from the US Store. It's nothing Sony or Midway has done.

but its an awesome game. Recent Mk titles haven't been the same but they are still enjoyable. They should return to the dark days (Story-wise) of Mortal Kombat which really made it unique. But let's hope they put it back up or at least upload Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
