Comment 23 on the Playstation.blog (link below) has asked Capcom's John Diamonon when the Bionic Commando: Rearmed trophies will be released and John Diamonon answered "Just talked to Ben Judd about that. The team is hard at work with the next gen game and are trying to release trophy support probably around the same time." This means the trophy patch will be released on the same date as Mega Man 9, or September 25th.

I took advantage of the $1 deal for lost planet 3, strider, bionic commando and mega man. 3 of them run great on my steam deck. bionic commando sadly does not.

That means I buy it on the 25th. I've been waiting for the patch, and therefore holding out. The PS3 pad is better for this game; I've tried both. Also, I appreciate the added value of trophies. yay

"Hard at work on the next gen game" - this is most likely referring to the Bionic Commando remake, not Mega Man 9. I don't know when that's due out but that's roughly when the trophies will hit.
Now I get to enjoy beating this game and rocking out the the awesome soundtrack, AGAIN!
MegaMan is not NextGen, they say they releasing it with the next gen product
