Bethesda Software: "Just a head's up, we've received word from the folks at Amazon that the Fallout 3 Survival Edition for PlayStation 3 has sold out. No amazon doesn't stand for everything but it obviously takes a percentage of the game retail market. If PS3 stuff sells faster than 360 stuff...at least to the point of selling out then publishers need to recognize this and print more copies for PS3.

Ps3 fans haven't talked about any games they are playing since MGS 4 came out! And after a month, they forgot about that and started talking about LBP!

I'd go for the PS3 version if i didn't own a very powerful pc. Pc version as always, is the superior version when u got the right hardware. A 4870x2 and a Quad Core 9770 in my case.

You seem to forget that Oblivion PS3 came out looong after, and turned out to be a lot better -not slightly- in comparison to the 360 version i believe. Oblivion/PC still has the edge (Resolution/Mods/Frames).And this time around all three versions has the same launch date.

Not providing enough copies for ps3 users is just going to hurt them as they won't get the money they would've gotten if they provided equally.

You misconstrued my comment. I'm in no way saying the retailer is a fanboy (that doesn't even make sense), but rather that prospective Sony PS3 buyers shop at Amazon. Let's take a sample from a store where 360 sells more (I don't have an example, since no one brings them up).

Just because Amazon sells PS3s like hot cakes doesn't mean it's something to go by for all retailers, which many people imply. They say things like "PS3 is #8 on Amazon, 360 is #50, wut wut!" That's a terrible sample.

Not a big deal, since I always ignore those posts, but I'm just commenting on it since this is Amazon selling more PS3 products.

You guys really think they made equal amounts of PS3 units and Xbox 360? Seriously? You honestly think they did? Every month NPD numbers prove time and again the 360 software sales for major titles is higher than the PS3 in N.A. So if that is the trend (the numbers don't lie fanboys) then why would a company produce an equal amount of a special limited edition? Clearly there are more 360 units to be bought and thus why they are still available and the PS3 is sold out.

But hey, you don't have to believe me now. Just eat some crow when the NPD's come out and show the sales for Fall Out 3 on both systems.

I agree with you Dlacy13g. I would be SHOCKED if Bethesda did not produce many more 360 versions of the game than PS3 versions. That being said, it still goes to show that they grossly underestimated how well it would sell on the PS3.

Back on topic:
Despite some of you saying that this game is less important to PS3 gamers because of our strong fall line up, I (as a PS3 owner and ONLY a PS3 owner) am REALLY looking forward to it. Regrettably, I never got the chance to play Fallout 1 or 2, but I've read up on them recently, and they sound like GREAT games. I look forward to all sorts of witty innuendos and double entendres.

It goes both ways. It can also be explained people on the fence wanted a ps3 for a long time and decided this was going to be the push to make the purchase before Dark Knight bluray came out. (Just an example)

Or it could be the fact that there is already a large ammount of gamers already own a 360 and the hardware sells declined. Another possiblity was because 360 had more SKUs to offer with the special.
