That looks really good. The gameplay is like real time cutscenes. see for yourselves

This game is really intense by the way !

Please forgive me, i was wrong about this game being boring. I have a feeling this will be a sleeper hit?

The Power of Red5736d ago

That's a true NEXT GENERATION title.

StephanieBBB5736d ago

But for those who like this gameplay it's over the top amazing =)

MikeGdaGod5736d ago

thanks for the second link, that was much better

TeeJay5736d ago (Edited 5736d ago )

Looks like it would suck. Playing a pre-rendered movie via button cues went out with Dragon's Lair in the late 80's. It will bomb in it's reviews, just like Dragon's Lair.

Here is a gameplay movie of Dragons Lair, with the button cue graphics edited out. It sucks.

TeeJay5736d ago (Edited 5736d ago )

No it's not, I wouldn't even call it a game. It's a movie with a scene changer, pathetic really. You could play this "game" with a tv remote. Bonus content found on movie dvd's isn't something new. I call it right now, Heavy Rain will flop.

jmare5736d ago (Edited 5736d ago )

And I call that TeeJay will lose at least one bubble for that comment. Not that I care either way, just I know how people can't stand differing opinions. Game looks interesting.

I don't need everything to be a shooter. I want to see someone playing it.

The Lazy One5736d ago

They just look off. I think it's the anatomy of their faces...

I'm a little confused though was that just like one of the interactive cutscenes from IP, and the gameplay is going to be like the other gameplay in IP, or is the whole game going to be like an interactive cutscene.

It could be interesting, but it would be really easy to mess up.

Looks pretty sick.......I would like to see more and know a little more about gameplay...

Freckler5736d ago

I agree it will probably bomb, because games like this have never been very good. If I remember correctly Dragon's Lair was the first, and Sewer Sharks for Sega-CD came later. Neither of which were worth a sh*t. There is no such thing as gameplay in titles like this, it's just scripted pre-recorded cutsceens that you watch and try to hit the "next" button quick enough. But dude let the Sony population hype this like they have so many terds in the past, it makes for good fun when a game gets it's reviews.

Peace

Bathyj5736d ago

TJ
You're a knob. I hope you house gets bombed, not this game. Got the whole thing worked out already have you, its just Dragons Lair with new paint.

How do you know it wasn't just a quick time event? It looked pretty gripping to me. You just WANT to hate troll. I didn't see any button presses neccessary to make her walk up the stairs. Gee, maybe it controls like any other 3rd person game.

Its too late too judge anything on this one yet except to say the production values are through the roof so it likely they've put a lot of work, thought and effort into this one, and probably wont forget about little thing called gameplay.

Willio5736d ago

Indigo Prophecy (great game) is a better reference than Dragon's Lair. TeeJay probalbly expressed a 1980s game for comparison on purpose due to jealously.

PiTCHBLaCK5736d ago

I Agree, I Think the gameplay video was just an Interactive
cutscene of sorts, But I don't see any evidence to say the
whole game is like that.

This thing looks really amazing

5736d ago
acedoh5736d ago

Pay attention to anything the gameplay is exactly like their previous game Indigo Prophecy. I don't know why some are so one dimensional. A true gamer enjoys all different genres just like a real movie buff likes movies of all genres. Story also makes a great game and I am sure this game will have a great story.

bpac1234567895736d ago

Graphics are amazing i just hope that the whole game is not an interactive cutscene, and that you can control the character freely.

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe1266d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG1266d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman1265d ago (Edited 1265d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.

Have you played Detroit? While it’s my personal favorite, I fully understand many preferring Heavy Rain more. I’m glad you enjoyed Heavy Rain too.

bouzebbal1423d ago

def. one of my top 3 best experiences on PS3

ClayRules20121423d ago

bouzebbal

That’s awesome to hear! What’re the other 2 best experiences?

akaFullMetal1423d ago

Great game, need to get started on Detroit soon.

ClayRules20121423d ago

Glad you enjoyed the game! Yes, Detroit is a masterpiece of a game, and their best work to date “in my opinion”

ClayRules20121423d ago

Wow, 10 years...and yet, still one of the best/most emotional/thrilling gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

So grateful to Sony for believing in Quantic Dream’s vision for this game, and giving them a chance. I’ll never forget David Cage saying “We want to challenge the player, but not with the controller, but mentally, with their decisions of “How far would you go to save someone you love” Well, they broke my emotional gamer heart lol.

My teenage son refuses to play this game, because I’ve told him in little detail the emotional impact it had on me all those years ago. Maybe one day he will.

Still have my origami crane they teach you how to make when you're installing for the first time.

C-H-E-F1423d ago

it's been 10 years? wow, that was so fast, I feel like this console gen went fast as well although it hasn't. I really look forward to the PS5 this holiday season though.
