Sweet I never played the 360 or PC version of this game, so I can't wait to try it out. I must buy for me. Although the only issue is it coming out at the same time as RE2. I may have to push Bioshock back to Christmas. At least there all hitting at the holiday season.

u got owned5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

Yep, you definitely should try it, I have it for 360 and is one of the best experiences this generation. The graphics, gameplay and story are great and the music and sounds set the mood like in no other game, is truly a master piece, everyone should play this game.

RocketRaiders5767d ago

Bioshock is the only game which is worth getting on x360 . but since u waited this long i suggest that u get the ps3 version

ThanatosDMC5767d ago

Just rent it. The game is not as good as people make it sound like.

kwicksandz5767d ago

Havent they already said that it would be a small zoo section that was cut from the original game?

me 2.. I just played PC version for 5 minutes... with exclusive features I think its a must buy for me (because I didnt read any spoiler about the story)

hope to see a nice graphics, extra single player length(yes with Blu-ray),new characters and weapons.. etc

paul_war5767d ago

I would stick with the PC version. I've finished both & I think the PC version is the best. Even with these extra features, I still think the PC version will provide a better experience.

AngryBot5767d ago

until you know exactly what the PS3 version brings. Fanboy in disguise?

paul_war5767d ago

Well the PS3 can prove a hard drive (which could help reduce texture streaming speeds, very noticeable on the 360).

The PS3 could also enable mouse & keyboard support.

But whichever way you put it the PS3 does not have 2gb of ram etc. Sorry, but for the best possible Bioshock experience, play it on the PC.

(I repeat... in my opinion & experience!)

Common Sense5767d ago

The game does not use 2GB but Vista does. Consoles do not have memory hogging operating system. Console memories are sufficient for now.

Zeevious5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

How can anyone say they don't want this version when they've never tried it? I can see having a preference for playing on a PC or you have already played Bioshock so don't want to replay this version.

Claiming stats, system requirements & that it just won't be good as reasons not to even try it makes no sense.

You can't try it, because it doesn't EXIST yet.

If it's released and you absolutely hate it...hate it all you want, but at least wait till you know what you hate.

khellendros15767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

I was excited about this game when it came out on the 360 but I didn't own the system. I'm definitely picking this up on the PS3.

Zeevious5767d ago

It had been on my list of gaming to-do's for a while.

Considering the repeated denials, I never expected a PS3 version, so now I need to put it back on my list!

So many games...so little time...and soon, such a little big planet to play in. ;)

Jack Meahoffer5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

I've heard rumors of multiplayer but I'd have to assume that would be some type of co-op element because competitive would seem to be a weak tack on. Can't see how that could be balanced and work well in a game like Bioshock. Co-op would be a big extra though.

Any additional story perhaps a few more missions after the game ended on 360 and PC that would also be HUGE. Free plasmids and tonics not so much.

If theres enough quality "extras" I liked this game enough that I'll gamefly it for PS3 to check it out.

Great game. Glad PS3 only gamers get a crack at it now.

va_bank5767d ago

that words "exclusive features" means that it was unavailable anywhere else before. Hope it's something meaningful.

Personally, I usually get FPS games for PC. The only exception was Resistance, since it's only on PS3. Will do the same with R2 and maybe Killzone.

Jack Meahoffer5767d ago

You're right about the use of the word "exclusive". With that in mind perhaps the extras are PS3 specific like Home integration something like that.

Big Daddy outfit for your avatar? Maybe some steampunk furniture for your Home? All of that would be a big plus for PS3 owners without pissing off everyone that supported the game on 360 and PC.

Zeevious5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

That was a PS3/Bioshocked formula release...integrated add-ons, improved graphics, etc. and sold very well.

You should keep in mind it's for the PS3 and targeted to the millions of PS3 owners that never played it.
Not to PC Gamers or 360 owners that already played it.

I wouldn't say it (or anything) is an 'auto fail' or judge this release until after it's released.

Jack Meahoffer5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

its not what I was personally hopping for. But I see what you mean that even if its nothing big like I want it'll still be nice for PS3 fans that haven't played it yet.

Maybe my use of the words "auto fail" were a bit too harsh for what I meant. haha

OMG another bad new for the bots XD XD XD XD E3 will kill the rrod180
this and a possible ff7 remake (taking out the more new exclusive games at e3) will kill the burning houses failure box XD XD XD

AngryBot5767d ago

When it became known that Bungie was about to break with MS.
When it became known that PGR contract was terminated.
When it became known that EA was about to acquire Bioware.

Rofl you should have seen the bots jump up and down doing damage control in every thread lol. Ah those were the days. We warned them back then. We told them that that was just the beginning and that the PS3 was just warming up.

They didnt listen. They are eating their own words even as we speak.

Sir_Ken_Kutaragi5767d ago

xBoxShock!!! ;-D

It's going to be FUN;) Watching the xBox 360 SINK!!! ;-P
Man they Deserve it the xBot N00Bs on here!!! ;-D

Montrealien5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

yawn. A game coming out a over a year later with a few extras is bad news for the ever so sinking 360. Man you guys will jump on anything in the name of bashing a console you don`t like. I`ll pass and play games like Resistance 2 instead.

and I bubble you again mr Ken you`re just so lovable and have stuck to it since you became even more crazy after retirement. you crazy man you. evne though I would never agree with you...ever! ;-D

Sir_Ken_Kutaragi5767d ago (Edited 5767d ago )

Never agree??? Ok 'xBoxShock' isn't that much of a good name then!!! ;-D
The more games for the PS3 the better i think;)
+I want Killzone 2 + LBP + MotorStorm 2 more really;)
X-xBox 360 games don't bother me(i can get 99% of them for my P.C anyway!!!) ;-D

Mugen Souls Retro Review – Sexy Demon Space Adventure

Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.

Looking Back At 2008, An Unbelievably Incredible Year Of Video Game Releases

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."

ChasterMies5h ago

Some of these low paid video game “news” writers weren’t born before 2007.

just_looken1h ago

Here here

Those that were around before 2000's i am sure are like me that think we entered a world of non readers or those that follow without question.

I can not wait to see fallout 3 a goty game even though it was about water with non content until you add the dlc/updates then you got the performance/crashing

CrimsonWing6916h ago

I don’t think anything can compare to 2023

lucasnooker16h ago

1998 - the best year in gaming! Metal gear solid, crash bandicoot 3, medievil, half life, ocarina of time, thief, tenchu, resident evil 2, Spyro, tomb raider 3, oddworld abes exodus, banjo kazooie.

It was a different breed of a gaming era. You’ll never understand what it was like back then. The aura of gaming, it was different!

KyRo16h ago(Edited 16h ago)

I second this. Gaming was a lot more varied and fun than it is today. I'm 35 so getting on compared to some here but I got to see all the changes from NES up to now but I've never felt so disappointed in any generation than I have this current gen. I was expecting more from this generation rather than prettier versions of games that came before it. Game mechanics have become so refined that alot of games feel the same and has done for a while now.

Maybe it's time to have a break for a while. I love gaming but I don't feel I get much fun in the traditional sense out of it anymore.

CrimsonWing6916h ago(Edited 16h ago)

Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Abe’s Exodus, and Ocarina of Time are the only things from that list that I liked.

Here’s the 2023 game releases that I personally liked… and big releases that I didn’t care for:

- Dead Space Remake
- Wo Long Dynatsy
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Diablo 4
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Hogwarts Legcay
- Street Fighter 6
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Like a Dragon: Ishin
- Octopath Traveler 2
- Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
- Final Fanatsy XVI (actually ended up not liking this, but it was still a big deal release)
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Lies of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Starfield (Ended up hating this one, but big release)
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I’m an old-school Zelda fan, but didn’t really enjoy this game)
- Alan Wake 2

I mean, honestly I’ve never seen a year of major IP releases like that, ever.

Profchaos13h ago(Edited 13h ago)

Isn't it just a generational thing realistically.

I've been gaming since way back and I some of my favourite games go as far back as the late 80s for me each generation has a year or two of game changing releases one after another before an inevitable dry spell.

I kind of agree gaming had a different feel games hit different because we didn't have the internet nothing got spoiled and you really had to put in the effort to beat a puzzle which could set entire groups of people looking for a solution. But most importantly games were experimental and not as cookie cutter as today even basics like controls were not universal today r2 is shoot l2 is ads garunteed you can't deviate from that in a shooter back then it could of been square, R1 or R1 and circle nothing was standard.

But as time moves on a new generation picks up their controller they are going to be interested in different things that PS1 demo disc with the t Rex blew our primitive 16 bit brains back on launch but to kids today it's laughable.
The new gen of kids coming into to hobby seem to value different things to us there seems to be a huge focus on online play, streamers, gaming personalities, and social experiences, convience of digital downloads. To me I value none of that but that's ok like my parents not liking the band's I would listen to its just the natural cycle.

Gameseeker_Frampt4h ago

Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.

2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.

just_looken1h ago

It still amazes me we got over 7 rockstar games ps2/ps3 but 3 for the ps3/ps4/ps5

Dragon age 1-3 and mass effect 1-3 in 7ish years what a generation.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos22h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Tacoboto21h ago

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

banger8821h ago

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

ChasterMies11h ago

Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.
