Absolutely.

Three types of idiots in the disagree realm (in descending order of idiocy):

1. Those who get too upset about the disagrees
2. Those who post disagrees without posting an argument.
3. Those who disagree with something that can't be disagreed with, e.g. "I ate a banana this morning" (6 disagrees)

Seriously, what's the point of clicking disagree? You don't voice your argument, you don't accomplish anything. You can easily be misconstrued. It's like write in voting where you forget to leave a name.

Is the metal gear database an actual game add on, or launched from the xmb, kinda like folding@home? If its the first one which I feel it will be, does anyone know if it'll work with the euro/pal version of mgs 4. I know its a long shot but eh its late and I'm off to clear act 4 in a bit. What a frakin game!

edit 2* commando 3's a pretty solid remake. I d/l the trial for my 360 wednesday. The difficulty ramps up towards the end. The section where your floating down the river is just getting you warmed up.

was a good (ie not-not-not bad) idea, IMO. After skimming over the db for a couple of hours, I must say, it covers a lot (the big kind of "lot" - like a parking lot for walmart) of Metal Gear material.

In fact, I'm actually beginning to wonder whether the Metal Gear "universe" is bigger than our own. BTW, is it true that our "known" universe has roughly a billion-billion stars? If so, how did scientists come to this estimate (just genuinely curious is all)?

~1,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars <--- Just look at it. That's 10 to the 18th power, or 1 quintillion. That's like totally approaching avagadro's number (6.0221415 × 10^23) of frigg'n stars! Unbelievable , incomprehensible, unfathomable, unimaginable: these words don't even begin to describe the magnitude of the universe from a human perspective (assuming there are roughly that many stars).

MGDB blesses us with 70-odd MBs worth of just text? Simply. wow. Get out the reading glasses, the port-a-john, and two lifetimes worth of rations because you ain't gonna be finishing "The Holy Metal Gear bible" anytime soon!

~ 587,202,560 bits <--- Just look at it. There aren't nearly as many bits in Metal Gear's universe as there are stars in ours, but still very impressive in its own right. I mean just think about it, that's like 1/100 Bill Gates' net worth if we were talking in dollars rather than in bits!

IMO, Metal Gear Solid 4 is the absolute zenith of the Metal Gear series and, therefore, the stealth action genre. I personally have never felt so captivated by a game in my life - not even close - and I've been playing games almost daily since Mario Bros. debuted for the now ancient Nintendo.

That being said, I realize that some people still may not care for this game. Some may even think that it has more flaws than it does strengths. That is the nature of opinion amongst large groups of individuals and it is, in fact, a good thing as it allows for variety in nature.

However, no one, not one single person would be justified in saying that MGS4 hasn't upped the ante in many ways (at least two: presentation , graphics/sound) for future console games. It is a true masterpiece which raises so many bars at once that it truly is a revolution in gaming.

I give the game a score of 10/10, but I would never argue with a person that gives it a 6/10 because I realize that different people have different tastes (this comment is geared towards the "fanboys" - and I know that you are here); however, that doesn't change the fact that it is, hands down, the current leader in many aspects of console gaming.

Once I start getting redundant, I know that it is time for me to get some sleep (2:00 am here and I usually start work at 4:00 am, I just thank God that it is my Saturday...well make that Sunday now:) so to end this torture I would just like to say:
