Footage of PS3 Initial D skids around the corner

"Initial D, the Japanese street racing manga turned Sega racing game, has been released on just about every platform since the Sega Saturn. The latest in the series, Initial D: Extreme Stage, will be making its way to the PlayStation 3, and Siliconera has some new footage from the game.

Set to be released next month in Japan, Extreme Stage will use the PlayStation Network to make up for the lack of local 2-player action. National time attack mode and downloadable content will also be available online. So, that's really just a nice way of saying that there is no multiplayer, right?

Regardless, this promotional movie looks good. Fans of the the manga/anime or the game series should be pretty pleased with the visuals. They will be able to slide around the corners of dangerous mountain roads in glorious high-resolution graphics."
