This game is getting crushed. Well I never thought it was going to be the greatest FPS around, but I also thought it would get some favorable reviews. Since Free Radical was working it I guess I just expected more. I'm still going to rent it to at least try it out.

The game is not good, I can say that it has a great MP but the game is average, I don't know why radical made such a bad game. Yeah, it started as a 360/PC game, then it was translated to the PS3, but they could do a better job, maybe it was the "how it started" that affected the game itself.

i'm really ashamed at being excited for this game. i feel like this is more of a flop than Lair. i mean, at least with Lair i bought it used and with the analog patch its a pretty good game...but this?

i first heard about Haze around march of 07, and since then it's been nothing but delays, hype, more delays and more hype. we were drip fed information from the official blog for over a year, and if i didn't know any better, i would say they barely worked on the game for all that time.

i truly believe that Sony was really desperate for a title to match Halo 3, but Haze couldn't hold a candle to Halo 1. Today, i am really upset to be a ps3 owner, for the fact that once again, Sony has given ammo to the other players in this war and let their fans down.

It really makes me sad that this game is an epic failure. I was really hyped for it, and i really though it would have been a ,solid fps. I always knew it would not be a AAA game, but i though it would have scored a 8.5 atleast. But i trust ign and if they say the game suck then the game must suck. When ign gave uncharted, rachet and folklore scored 9.0 and higher i agreed with them. Even though other websites thrashed those games, ign was the only one that was open minded. It breaks my heart to say that i will be passing this game, and looking forward to mgs4 and ng2 next month.

This game was pretty much screwed from the start. If it was released a few months ago then the COD 4 hype would have killed it then. But then again, because it's being launched today you've got the MGS 4 hype to contend with. it's lose, lose for Ubisoft. Shame though, I thought it looked pretty good.

On a technical level, releasing the game at a ridiculous resolution of 1024x576 and not put to use any post-processing effects or more anti-aliasing to make up for visuals was a big mistake on their end as well.

I did play the demo. I didn't think it was THAT bad. Not great, but certainly not 4.5 bad, either.

I just expected more from Free Radical.

Putting the Graphics issue aside for a moment, it seems that there are no redeeming qualities whatsoever about it.

I agree with the guy below me, it seems that reviewers will now be afraid of giving it a good score thanks to IGN. I think all reviewers should have had an embargo until the day the game comes, that way we can ensure honest reviews instead of some reviews affected by whatever IGN, 1up, LameTraitors or Gamestop have to say.

IGN gave 10 to mario galaxy in graphics but 4 to Haze? It seems that they're modifying their standards according to their expectations instead of fairly reviewing each game on its own merits.

It seems that they had high expectations for Free Radical thanks to Goldeneye and Timesplitters, which is why they rated it lower than most other games. Now I get why LAIR and several other games get reviewed so poorly, especially on PS3.

It's the Danish Gamereactor, and just because GR in Sweden decided to give Haze 6/10, GR in Denmark doesn't has to. For example; they gave Kane & Lynch 6/10, while GR in Norway gave it 8/10.

EDIT: Seriously do you really think loyal magazines act like that? I don't know about the U.S, but in Scandinavia we are honest ;)

Marios graphics are good for that system, top notch on it. You don't compare PSP graphics to the PS3 do you? It is the same deal here, Wii isn't the same type of machine.

Actually SMG has excellent graphics. I didn't really like it, but the graphics were very polished for a Wii title.

So the Wii should have it own rating class, with last gen systems, bull Wii should be in the same category as PS3 and Xbox 360 when reviewing next gen games. The Wii was supposed to be the predecessor of Game Cube, instead is a Game Cube with more ram. This is 2008 and the Wii is barley making games look better better than the original Xbox (technically), and that might be questionable. Haze deserves at least an 8.0 (what I've seen with the demo), because all the Next Gen features are here. Normal Mapping, Specular Mapping, Bump Mapping, Dynamic lighting etc, and IGN and this retard gives the game 4 and 5 foe graphics, come on people open you eyes.

MGS4 will be a huge system seller since GTA4 disappointed . Konami has sold over 80,000 MGS4 PS3 bundles. even Amazon Japan sold over 5000 MGS4 PS3 bundles

Its a shame that this title is sinking as fast as it is. I know of several people that are now cancelling their pre-orders now that the reviews are rolling in. I never did preorder as to me the game offers nothing really new. I have played BioShock on the 360 where you could use 'drugs' to enhance your abilities. Ok, slightly different use of 'drugs' in Haze but not really anything worth writing home about.

A new FPS franchise not only needs to offer slick visuals (regardless of their style) but it also needs to offer a deep story, next-gen AI and tight gameplay. Hmmm, how many of these does Haze have...

Keep a look out, you'll see this digital clunker sitting next to Turok in the next-gen bargin bins before MGS4 comes out.

The game might actually be bad. Yes it's Free Radical and YES they developed TS, but relying on the demo IMO this game is weak at best.

I know that demo's does not represent the final product, but when I played Uncharted demo I thought: Damn this game looks and plays good.... When I played HS demo I thought the same thing.... When I played The SHOW demo, I thought the same thing.... Same with R&C.

When I played HAZE demo I thought: wow this game didn't impress me at all in any aspect. I might wait for reviews, but my first impression is a really bad one for this game.

Now reviews are out and they are not good, just as many suspected after playing the demo. I think this game ain't as good as many here hope for.

We have plenty of great exclusives and multiplatforms coming our way, it's no big deal.

I think this is another example of the curse of the "halo killer" label. Being a game that is labeled as a "halo killer" is like being athlete on the cover of a madden game.

My comments are not referencing the quality of halo, it being better than any other games, the 360 being better than the ps3 or anything of that nature. It is just a comment on the fact that having the "halo killer" label seems to be a curse for fps games, so save the BS fanboy crap for someone else. EB Games just called me to advise me that it's ready for pick-up. To avoid future discrepancies, I asked them to confirm that they would honor their aforementioned deal in the event I wanted to return it.

They replied that they would not because 'the publisher got mad at them.'

Despite the fact that I can successfully fight this, I decided that I likely will not, as it's not worth the effort and hassle.

Sadly, unless I begin seeing some stellar reviews some time soon, I'm canceling and getting my five bucks back.
