PALGN: Dual Shock 3 Review - We take a closer look at the Dual Shock 3

PALGN writes: "When the PlayStation 3 was launched on 21st March 2007 in Australia and November 2006 in America, Sony made a lot of mistakes. The launch lineup wasn't great, the online service wasn't fully up to scratch, the price of the console was rather expensive and the controller, didn't rumble. Time has been kind to Sony, with the Japanese company now rectifying several of their past mistakes. There is now a decent library of PlayStation 3 games, the online service is on the mend and the price of the console has dropped. Finally, over a year after the Australian launch the controller gets rumble, with the Dual Shock 3 launching in Australia at the RRP of $99.95. We've been fiddling around with the Dual Shock 3 for a little while now, so is it worth the upgrade?

The first thing we (and most people) noticed when we took the Dual Shock 3 out of its packaging was the weight. The Sixaxis is a flimsey, light controller that feels like it is going to break if you drop it, the Dual Shock 3 however, is heavy. The controller isn't heavy enough to cause any discomfort, but the weight does make the controller feel a little more solid."
