In the world of Haze, there are the haves, and the have nots. The haves are easily Mantel Corporation's soldiers, who frequently inject themselves with a strange pharmaceutical substance known as Nectar. But the have nots are the mysterious rebel faction known as the Promise Hand, a bunch of miscreants based in South America that want to create anarchy across the world. Lead by a mysterious figure known as Skin Coat (so named for the article of clothing he's cobbled together from his victims), no country is safe from the significant threat they pose to life.

If Halo 3 got above a 9.0 on Metacritic, there is no reason for this game to get anything lower than that. But then again, I don't trust press outlets that are heavily buttered and pampered by Microsoft.

Ok I am getting really tired of hearing how haze is generic and is low scoring blah blah blah... tell me is any of this generic:
2 completely different classes with their own style of fighting one rebel the other soldier
playing dead and stealing weapons from enemies in mp and sp
use of drug to increase abilities and also make bombs out of them for other team call it a gimmick but tell me what other game has it?
Vehicles I know other fps have them but there are a lot of fps that don’t either
The only thing you can say bad about it is that the graphics don’t completely blow you away but they are decent, just because the game got delayed all of a sudden it isn’t good anymore its annoying but it doesn’t change the fact that these are new features and maybe a game may have a few of those features but they certainly don’t have them all together so how are they generic when they go beyond most fps games in terms of features?

All i can say is haze better have a hell of a gameplay. While i think visually it rests on the level of the likes of halo however halo quality visuals aren't good enough for ps3 exclusives :D

This game keeps looking better the more they work on it. I was on the fence about it but now it's looking pretty good. It will get better than 5-6. Halo 3 got higher so this deserves at least the same. Just pick up a PS3 so you can enjoy it instead of saying stupid sh!t.

game every time I see it. It' has gotten much better but, is it too little to late. Hopefully they iron out whatever needs ironing soon cause it's out soon. Definitely waiting on reviews and a rental before I purchase the game.

It looks decent, graphics were better than I though. Gameplay was ok but the person playing the game just sucked. I see this game getting scores of 7s and 8s which is good. I think I will be more into the multiplayer which could be where the real fun is at.

Haze is an FPS, GTA 4 is a third person open world action game, MGS4 is a tactical third person game, i really dont see how Haze would be overshadowed by either of them considering how different their genres are

It's sorta sad. This game would have been the first game I would have purchased for my PS3, but after the constant delays I might not even get it. I still hope it does well Free Radical is a great developer so I at least expect 8s from the reviews.

This game was on every "great games to come" list on every 360 fanatic when they were trying to show off that they have great games compared to the PS3 but now it's a PS3 exclusive all of a sudden it's generic and nothing special.

I can't help but feel the 360 fanbase are desperatly tring to convince the PS3 fanbase that the game's no good and not to support it and if any PS3 fan that at least like's FPS doesn't get this game cause of the obvious 360fan FUD about, is a fool.

Only 5 months ago people kept saying "it has no games" but now they "claim" to have too many with MGS4 & GTA4.

Haze is only the second exclusive PS3 FPS to come out on the PS3 and is the first one of this whole year but for some reason we shouldn't buy it cause Free Radical all of a sudden, after making iconic FPS in the indstry for years with games like Golden Eye, Perfect Dark & TImesplitter, they now make crap generic FPS that have nothing special about them? BS!

The 360 fanbase and the fakeboys can hate all they want, there's no way I'm missing out on a rare exclusive FPS on the PS3 - just no way. I'd be a fool to listen to these type of morons.

Great comment. The 360 boys don't have near as many things going but now all of the sudden having less games is better. Then they try to downplay the games as if they will all suck. I'm glad they made this exclusive so it could be the best they can make it instead of splitting their efforts or downgrading it to the standards of a lesser console. It's PS3 time!

All I know is when I watch those vids I just want to know what happens next. Yes people, FPS on the PS3 actually have substance to their story line.

Isn't it great to have 2 new exclusive IPs in the FPS genre on the PS3 and it'll be only about 19 months since launch in NA. Go back and look at what other consoles had as exclusive and specifically "true" FPS exlcusives in that time frame.

Infact, go back to the first 20 months on market for other consoles and you'll see the the PS3 fanbase not only will have more FPS exclusive IPs but more "quality" FPS in th esame time frame.

This is good for the PS3 fanbase. Trying to act like this game is anything short of intriging is just uber silliness.

Sorry to say, but this game doesn't really look too enticing at all, and looks as though it could have easily been on either console. The voice overs were also hilariously bad. I'd expect 7-8's but nothing too stellar.

I will pick this game up for the single player/ split screen co-op/ story line/ game play (from what I have read/ visuals. If the online is not up to par then its back to COD4 online for me.

As for review scores Haze "should" come in at an 8/10 or higher giving Free Radicals track record. Only time will tell.

Not every game is going to be pure gaming greatness. But with games like GTAIV, GT5P, MGS4, Killzone 2, Motorstorm 2, RFOM 2, and Star Wars the force unleashed all coming this year I think that I'll be OK with Haze getting anything above a 7/10.

Hell, I am already happy with God of War CoO, FFVII Crisis Core, and Patapon so far this year. And thats just on PSP.

The PS3 has A TON of awesome games coming out this year, so I don't think people need to pretend that Haze is gonna be really good. If you like free radical's previous work and you are looking forward to this game then fine buy it, but I really can't see this selling a lot or getting good reviews. I predict this will be a "B" level game, better than stuff like Blacksite or Turok, but not that great.

The negative comments here kind of amaze me. How do you guys know how that game plays? What I see I like. A lot. Dynamic smoke coming from a gun ? What game does that again ? Right, none so far. Visuals look slick, crisp, clear and smooth. What's wrong with that? New game play element, like 4 player drop-in-drop out online campaign. Ah, right, which one does this, again, already ? None ? So, hate what you want. It comes with some pretty unique features and looks good. I'll get it. "Landcartier". What game? Right.

The gameplay looks solid and engaging. The one thing I didnt like is the corny dialogue. It looks like your battle-buddies wont be shutting up any time soon.

it has offline bots multiplayer??!?!? If it does omg Im definetly picking this up no matter what there goes another 60 dollars. I was going to see if my friends were going to agree to get it first with me but fuk them. I have tons of fun with my cousin and friends on the 4 player split screen with bots. Online multiplayer can be sometimes overrated when you got the fun of your family and friends sitting next to you.
