Rumour: Limited Version Of Home Soon

We've just had word from our source that a limited version of Home will go live at Midnight on the 31st of March. The new branch of Home, separate from the closed beta, will be called 'Flat', be open for everyone as a free download from the PSN and last for exactly 30 days.

Flat will give the player just a single apartment (there won't be any communal areas, theatres, gaming halls etc) but you will be able to invite up to 3 of your PSN friends to come to your Flat. They will be teleported in instantly - the front door does not open, apparently. Flat will feature custom soundtracks via a hi-fi installed in the main room of the flat, and video streaming via a flat-screen TV and will support videos already recorded via Play TV.

My m8s father works for sony and he said a week ago were thinking of realeasing home somtime at the start of march a few days before the playstation store update so we have time for updating the add on content for home, but remember phil harrison quit so they might have taking a wee bit longer so unless they dalay it, it will be here by march the 4 he said?

I won't believe this until I get a conformation from Sony. It's almost to the point that you wish they would just release it so we could stop getting all this ridiculous speculation and hear say. But I agree whether it is or not I will be checking for an update on the 31st.

For a start I think they would call it APARTMENT or ROOM rather than FLAT. There is no way Sony would use a English term like Flat as they have no liking for EU or UK customers. Apartment would better suit their beloved American patrons.
