Uncharted: Drakes Fortune sales hit 1 million Worldwide

According to VG Charts Uncharted: Drakes Fortune has hit the 1million copies sold worldwide mark in just 10 weeks, Europe accounts for the majority of the sales with 550,000 copies sold, North America accounts for 400,000 copies sold and in Japan the game has shifted 50,000 copies at time of print.

Uncharted, Resistance and Motorstorm (Yes, Motorstorm was a pack-in) are all first party games that sold a million, and trends show little shrinking.

Call of Duty 4, and Assassin's Creed both sold 2 million copies.

Games sell, don't worry. They don't sell at the frighteningly fast pace of some 360 titles, but they sell nonetheless.

I have to, Uncharted is welcomed right next to my other masterpieces such as Heavenly Sword , Call of Duty 4 and Warhawk...Heavenly Sword and Uncharted for the cinematic story lines and Warhawk for the best online I've played in a very long while! Call of Duty 4 fairs great (very great) on both grounds, but excels at none although the online is simply a blast!

I sent an email to Naugthy Dog expressing my feelings about their game and their hard work and they were thrilled.

I got about 6 or 7 replies from different people that worked in the game saying how good they felt about someone caring blah blah and how hard they worked for fans grateful like me etc etc.

This is the only tittle right now that I won't give, sell or borrow. I'm going to stay with until Uncharted 2 releases (and that's a maybe).

This game is worth every penny and I will say it again... Any PS3 owner should give this game a chance even if you are not a fan of the genre, it really is a great game and also it really shows what "next gen" should really be. (a first year tittle.. wow)

I'm willing to bet that Uncharted will surpass a lot of games sales in time when more people join the Dark Side. The game is just difficult to resist.

Uncharted was the first game I played twice in a row and enjoyed every living MF'ing minute of it. First time on Hard (15 hours, 56 treasures, 820pts), second on Crushing/Mirrored world (12 hrs 100% complete). Fantfreakingtastic.

This is not a game I plan on trading in. It'll sit safely on my shelves with all my Armored Core games. ;)

Anything that reminds me of Tomb Raider I automatically stay away from. But it's Naughty Dog. They make good games. Always have and always will. I just can't shake the feeling that it's just Tomb Raider with pretty graphics and a guy as the main protagonist. i agree 110% - another reason is that the PS3 has varity..like ppl that like FPS properly wont grab ratchet&clank until 2-3 months down the road thats even if they do..or ppl that like adventure wont buy COD4...360 only has FPS and really nothing else there4 once a FPS comes out every1 goes buys it..PS3 got like 5 AAA titles in within 3-4 months times that by $65 price tags ur looking at 345..slowly itll make it there & this is the cause with uncharted...so looking fwd for their next project

I don't think Uncharted is that hot of a Item here in North America. Why is it that for every Sony first party title that sells 1 million you guys glorify it like oh man we are great. Yet you guys have to include worldwide sales of their items to even = what other products do in one Continent. The proof and point of everybody congratulating the game's sales is that it SHOULD be a hot item.

In my opinion (So whether or not you agree), this is not only the best game of 2007, it is the best produced, and most entertaining piece of software released on a next gen console. You probably don't agree, but since I believe this game to be so great, I think it deserves tons of sales and considering the game is on a platform fighting an uphill battle, we reserve the right to: Congratulate Naughty Dog on their efforts, and ba happy this game is selling on order to secure a sequel.

Look. Uncharted is a great game. Even IGN gave it the PS3 game of the year over COD4. For COD4 and AC. There is no need to as they are excellent games indeed and they sell like hotcakes. The graphics and game play of this really raised the bar for games to come. It's undoubtedly one of the best game in its time and will be a classic. Every expression, every movement, every combo is well thought-out. The story is amazing, and once you get used to the mechanics of the game you just can't put your hands down! I rented this game from gamefly but didn't want to send it back so I kept it after 2 weeks lol. I even played the demo over and over before this game was out >.<

Damn, Microsoft's "Big Three" Flagship title couldn't run at a high-definition resolution, and couldn't even end properly? Its flagship RPG, super hyped space epic Mass Effect is still at 1.3 million 4 months later and can't hold a steady 30fps? What about that God of fps games, BioShock, garnering every single perfect game score from every website, was a hundred times more enjoyable than Halo 3, and ONLY sold 2 million copies.

All this on a console with a userbase that is nearly twice that of it's rival console and where 60 to 80 percent of it's game sales are in the United State alone.
