PS3 XMB playing Live Encrypted TV via TVersity media streamer

The DNLA power of the PS3 shines through in many ways. Heres another exclusive feature showing live encrypted tv playing via TVersity on the XMB.

You can even remotely change channel using an IR extender or via the PS3 browser

When I change channel on sky I get the channel preview at the bottom.
This is obviously fake.

this is not fake as it does not use the sky box to stream from. the sky box isnt a dnla server, it uses other methods!

It is possible to stream to PS3 as suggested. It just so happens i did it last week for the Spurs Vs Chelsea Match which was being broadcast on Sopcast, so i used Tversity as the middleman to communicate with the ps3 thus allowing me to watch the video. However...

The Picture was so blocky, poor and stuttering i got peeved off and decided to just watch it on the PC instead. But it is indeed possible, although a bit pointless.

1 - Install Sopcast

2 - Install VideoLAN - VLC media player http://www.videolan.org

3 - Open SopCast and select the channel. Wait for sopcast to show the channel

4 - Open VLC with this command line:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe& ;amp ;quo t; -vvv http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.as... --sout "#std{access=mmsh,mux=asf h,dst=:1234}"

5 - Go to TVersity and add Video URL = mms://127.0.0.1:1234

Now you can play sopcast channels in you XBOX360, Iphone, PS3, etc...

this is not using a web based tv streamer, it uses the direct tv signal for the best possible picture quality. so much so you can playback HD channels in full HD. It does use the same principal, but instead of using a web tv channel, it gets its signals directly from your tv supplier, so as to allow playback of any tv channel in the best quality possible

Here is you are using SKY'S internet TV service available to subscribers
to download programs to their PC then stream that through PS3 to TV.
So its not much use if you are not a SKY subscriber then? am I correct
in what I have assumed?

maybe you already revealed all, but in very hidden terms. So my request is: tell me how it's done, which cable goes from where to where, what kind of limitations, what kind of requirements. And pls do it in mickey-mouse-language, else I won't understand.

Make your statement and show us if this really works, i mean, make an "how to" and then, if it works, you get the credits.

I Already posted a How To Guide, Its actually pretty easy, read the instructions. It works, if you don`t or cannot try it don`t throw around your ignorance and "fake" claims.
