Smackdown vs Raw 08, PS3 version gets SIXAXIS gimmick?

Will there be any differences in Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 across different platforms (PS3, Xbox 360)? If so, can you give any examples?

The Xbox 360 version of the game will allow players to use songs stored on their hard drive for entrance music, while the PlayStation 3 version will include the unique Interactive Entrance feature. By utilizing the technology of the SIAXIS controller, we're now giving players the option of actually witnessing their favorite Superstar's ring entrance – from the Superstar's perspective. Players can tilt the controller up, down, left and right to turn a Superstar's head as he or she heads to the ring, allowing players for the first time to see the action through the Superstar's eyes.

Well named. Gimmicks. Nothing more! I'd choose a steady framerate over gimmicks any day as been proven in multiplatform games in the past the 360 has them steady and fluid, while the PS3 struggles to get (sport) games playable

8 - Yeah, pointless

Sure you can use the controller to tilt and move your characters head in 1st person during your entrance........but WHY??? It doesn't enhance the gameplay, or even make it anymore fun. When will developers sit and think that just because you can use motion control doesn't always mean that it will be effective in gameplay. Heavenly Sword is one of the only games I know of that actually uses it and makes it fun and worthwile. I'll take custom entrance music in over that any day.

@Anego: I can understand your point to an extent. But seriously, no matter how old you are, how long can this really be fun. After going through your characters entrance in 1st person for the 4th or 5th time, seeing that exact same crowd models that you saw before, how can that possibly have any long lasting appeal. The appealing thing about wrestler entrances in video games was seeing them as true to life as they are on tv. That is something I, as a kid, would want to see. And I can't see that in 1st person. And as an adult, after seeing the same entrances over and over gets old quick as it is. Eventually I would just skip to the action. Which makes the feature even more pointless.

i think ALOT of younger kids(thats who mainly plays the hell out of these games) will have ALOT of fun w/ that.

It's about time they implemented custom entrance music. That was one of my favorite things about Raw 2. While I prefer the PS controller for Smackdown games, I guess I'll be picking up the 360 version this time around. I wonder why they didn't put it in the PS3 version?

Its just too bad that this lesson had to come at the expense of Factor 5. They have a good developement team. Its sad that they have this blemish now because of a bad design choice. At least in this case with SVR, sixaxis control is a choice and not a requirement. Complicated motion controls should never be forced. I don't think the gaming world is ready for a game like this yet. It seems like small doses, that actually make sense in the context of the game are what we need.

Here's a thought; Why don't they use the sixaxis to pump up the crowd, shaking the remote much like NGS. To me, thats better than the 1st person view, altought, its pretty much assured that anything in this game using the sixaxis is a gimmick.

Why would you have such a powerful system like the ps3 and not put custom music . without custom music you can only create but so many people unless thq gives a better in game selection. seriously how many times are you gonna look at the entrance through the eyes of the wrestler after a while you start skipping the intros.
