alot of games on wii suck compare to other versions on the 360 and ps3, because usual games are made for the regualar handheld controllers, not for the wii,but nintendo wants to make a fast buck so they will ask to make a version for them

the wii is cheap-as in cheaply made. the games look cheap and i don't care what controller you hook to it, nothing is going to change that. so, the wii sells right now because it is CHEAP and because the ps3 and 360 are definitively higher in price. but thats for a reason: IN ELECTRONICS, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! so to all these people: go ahead and play those sad and repetitive titles on wii. do without HD and a solid online experience(note-buying has been titles from the virtual console is a nintendo money-making joke) also, do without HD movie playback. do without amazing visuals that serve to immerse the player in the game. if you're happy, great, but from my perspective, nintendo is doing very little for the consumers who buy their product. again, i reiterate- being CHEAP does not mean being innovative!

This pissed me off so bad that I had to create a login for this. This is not anywhere near a "Next Gen System"I am one of the so called "lucky ones" with all 3 systems. They ALL have their problems but this is by far the biggest turd of the bunch!!! The only reason this system is selling like hotcakes is its price point. Average Joe can afford it and fell like he is hip and down with the times.

Sadly after playing the 2-3 good titles on this system you start wondering how many years you have to wait for the next one. Who in ther right mind is going to buy Madden on Wii if they have a PS3 or 360? Wow my poorly rendered QB throws the ball when I swing my arm... give me a F'in break. Sorry for the rant but these Wii articels piss me off. Sure its sells well, but who care if it outsells 360 or PS3 they are not in the same class.

i havent played my wii in weeks. im thinking of sellin it for a 360. All the games are crap. Super paper mario sucked cause they ruined this one with the whole 2d - 3d thing, i loved the other 2 paper mario games for the n64 and gamecube. there are only 3 ood games im lookin forward to mari galaxy, super smash bros brawl ( which will get boring unless it is online), and metroid prime 3. The ps3 and 360 are getting all the good games this year. ps3 with lair ( it was a good game according to play mag cause they had the latest version of the game unlike egm), soccom confrontations, folklore is supposed to be good according to a gaming mag , warhawk, heavenly sword, and etc. 360 has bioshock, HALO 3, and mass effect ( which dosent appeal to me but i guess it will be good) and etc. Next year ps3 and 360 get gta 4 and ps3 gets mgs4, dmc4, killzone 2, little big planet ( dosent appeal to me ), etc. I have not heard of whats coming out in 08 for wii

the 360 fans and ps3 fans should join together and take down the wii. only reason its selling is cause the average consumer is an idiot. they are doing exactly what apple does. they make their things look good and they create hype ( Iphone "cough cough" ). The average consumer looks at the wii and sees someone else buying one and he heard that it was fun so he is gonna buy and then the next guy sees him do that and he says im gonna buy that too. everyone says its so fun at the beginning and they tell everyone and then those guys tell people its fun cause they played it at there friends house and so on.then when someone gets it they are its fun and then after a month they relize its boring

I like the Wii. I think that it has a lot of potential if developers can learn to think abstractly and design games that can take advantage of the machine's abilities. That, I think, is the main problem for the machine. Developers are trying to make the Wii do what consoles have typically done in the past and the box just is not designed for it.

It's funny how many pimply-faced teenagers like to banter on about how the Wii is just a kiddy console with nothing to offer their "hardcore" selves. But the article makes a good point. Aside from flashier graphics, what else have we really seen from the 360 and PS3 that is markedly different from what we got in the last generation of consoles? So far this generation just picks up where the last one left off.

With the exception of the Wii, of course. Games like Wii Sports and Warioware get many people in the same room into the game at the same time. It makes gaming a social event in a way that the PS3 and 360 don't. Those platforms pretty much force you into seclusion for your multiplayer gaming and makes you tolerate squeaky-voiced adolescents who are trying out their latest dirty word every couple of minutes. In my opinion, games are more fun when you get the tactile experience of the reactions of the people you are playing with. It is fun just like the Atari 2600 and Colecovision were fun. You were sitting shoulder to shoulder with your buddy and having a good time.

I love my 360 and my PS3. But I love Nintendo's console, too. It proves that you don't have to have the best hardware specs to have fun.

I simply do not understand this seething hatred for the Wii from gamers. How exactly do HD graphics revolution gaming, because that is the only thing MS & Sony are offering us & they're charging an obscene premium for it. I watch movies on my HDTV all the time, but to be honest the HD graphics are not so imposing to my senses that I've ever been convinced that I'm actually in the movie.

So, please, someone point to one ounce of innovation in the console industry over the last decade that hasn't come from Nintendo. Not the analog stick though, that was N64. Not disc-based media because that was CD-I over a decade ago.

EDIT: I can't believe the Atari 5200 actually had an analog joystick! I also can't believe BC was introduced with the Atari 7800. But I'm still pretty sure that the Wii's waggle is new... kinda!

Never before have I seen so many gamers all uniting in hatred for a single entity. Jesus, why is this happening?

People have so much hate FOR NINTENDO for reasons I can't understand... Like the lack of games and all the ports... How is that Nintendo's fault? People are absolutely hammering Nintendo even though it's the 3rd party developers who have taken the easy route.

And Online I know is a bit disappointing so far. The truth is that Nintendo is the only of the 3 console makers that isn't also involved in making some form of networking equipment... They couldn't afford to have an XBL equivalent waiting for their consumers the second the Wii came out, that's a luxury only MS could afford due to experience with the Xbox.

As for the hardware... There is a difference between underpowered and old. As an article (can't remember what it was) on N4G a few months back pointed out, the Wii actually has many high-tech components (wireless, sd card reader, specifically designed CPU + GPU) that were designed to be inexpensive so there would be less strain on the consumer and more profit for the struggling Nintendo. Well, they WERE struggling...

My personal opinion is that the Wii has yet to show its full potential. I also think that its full potential will be demonstrated by the end of this year. Because of that, until the end of '07, it's really not fair to judge the Wii.

There are some good games comming...but all the really good games are comming out on the PS3 and Xbox 360...

The Wii is really using lastgen tech...except it does have bluetooth and wifi and a nice controller...so it is next gen...do not forget this...even the xbox 360 does not have bluetooth and wifi standard...like the wii and the ps3.

But in graphics...the wii sucks...its is last gen in the graphics....and it does not support HD. HD is the standard and when you are going to buy a TV today..you are going to buy a HD tv...heck even 1080p is now the standard or will be after christmas...it all depends on what size HD tv you are going to by.

People keep saying there are no games on the PS3...well there are even less games on the wii...the PS3 is actually going to get some really hot games by end of year..and next year...the PS3 will get tons of more games..the same thing happend to the PS2...and the PS3 is going to follow the same cycles like the PS2.

But the Wii is going to be forgotten after a few years...come on this is the nextgen...why do you want to play a machine that has crappy last gen graphics on your HDTV? Remember on the PS3, all you old ps1/ps2 games are upscalled to 1080p...so at least they look good or better and your DVDs are upscalled to 1080p...and you can play bluray movies in 1080p. There is so much more you can do with a Xbox 360 or PS3 than on the Wii...sure the wii is ony $250..but they controller combination is like $60 with the wiimote and numbchuck....its starts to add up..and you then approach Xbox 360 premium territory.

In the end it is impressive that nintendo has sold over 10 million Wii consoles worldwide in less than a year....Microsoft must be feeling like crap since they have had almost 2 years and just broke 10 million.

But show me some wii online interface or game playing like PSN/HOME or xbox live? It does not exist...and where is the harddrive?
