Square Enix's Final PlayStation 2 Game

All good things come to an end, including PlayStation 2 support. Before that curtain completely closes Square Enix will release one more game.

In Japan, Final Fantasy XI: Vana'diel Collection 2 will be released on three platforms: Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 2. The international equivalent, Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection, is only available for the Xbox 360 and PC in North America.

Actually this article misses the point because all the content in that disc is available for download on PS2 via PlayOnline. All future content will be too. It's just not worth it to publish PS2 expansions any more. Retailers won't carry them.

5 - So
Who the hell bought FFXI online for the 360? That's like a Mexican choosing Blazblue over King of Fighters.

5.2 - It's easy
As a country Latin America LOVES King of Fighters. It's THE fighting game every there. Everybody that plays fighting games KNOWS how to play King of Fighters in Latin America. And they are some of the most brutal fierce people you can play in fighting games. Peek this video

I didn't know it was pre-determined based on your nationality on what type of fighting game you played.

Here in the good ol US of A, we're play everything. Well... except the teenage kids, they love their Halo.

See how much sense a blanket general statement mine's make? None at all.

5.4 - Pelvic, I still don't get your point
I'd understand your comparison if there were other, better MMORPGs on the 360 besides FF XI.....but I can't think of any. And to answer your question, I got the game when it released on the 360. I thought it was fun, but I was never able to devote the time to it that I needed to, and discontinued paying my subscription fee to play it.

Then you didn't know that north americans are a bunch of Warfare and Sports based games freaks?

Yeah, I'm latin and I can confirm that there's nothing bigger than KOF in latin america and spain when it comes to 2D fighting games. I do not think that @PELVIC THRUST ACTION is saying by "nationality" but for what most players of that specific area play.

Anybody that gets offended by that statement is as stupid as the black guys that get offended when they go to a retail and somebody offers them a sport game... I don't see any japanese guys get offended when people say that they are Jrpg freaks.

BTW, I'm not using the word "freak" as a derogatory , I just want to say that they really like certain genre.

Such Fond memories of this game! Raiding Sky & Sea with my lvl 75pld, NIN and some times RDM. I played this on my PS2 for a good 3 years such a great game. I guess all good things must come to an end at some point.

I just hope FF14 will be as great a game as FF11 was and still is!!!!
