Shin Megami Tensei sales figures

Atlus expected Persona (PSP) to sell 50,000 units, it's at 160,000 units now.

More sales figures for Persona 4, Devil Survivor, and Devil Summoner 2 at the link.

It is a shame P4 didn't sell as well as they thought and I think a good reason for that is A) Lack of advertising and B)It was on the PS2 so late in it's life span.

I have a feeling that Persona 5 will sell way better then P3 or P4 did simply because the series is quickly gaining popularity and acclaim and it will be on next gen consoles.

I just finished Persona 4 and it was fantastic! I actually went out and bought a PS2 so I could play it since my old one was dead.

It's a shame Persona 4 didn't sell better in the US. Sure the dungeons were a bit bland but overall the game was one of my favorite rpgs of all time.

It's a shame it was released too late in the ps2's lifespan/gen for most people who own next gen consoles to take a look at it.

Well at least the dungeons were infinitely more interesting than going through Tartarus for 140 hours (as much as I enjoyed going through Tartarus for 140 hours).

6 - I'm waiting...
For Atlus to move the rest of its current PSP RPGs onto the PS Store. I got a PSPgo today (price reduced + 4 games!), but was disappointed to find only Persona was available online.

Yesterday I tried Crimson Gem Saga on a friend's PSP and fell in love with the game, so waiting for it! Atlus could do very well getting the jump in putting their RPGs online since there's a big gap in the PS Store for them (Square haven't gotten Crisis Core and few other real JRPG developers have gotten theirs up such as Legend of Heroes).

7 - i bought persona 4 after enjoying nocturne and
the game(p4) is a giant step backwards. p4 could have been better, but it felt rushed. Nocturne and DDS are masterpieces and should be enjoyed by all rpg lovers.

Really? I was thinking about picking up both DDS games off of Ebay (they both got killer reviews on RPGFan.com) but I might pick up Nocturne now too.

Thanks!
