God damn it SCEE, why're you so useless?

This was something I was generally really looking forward to on the PS3 as the Playstation 3 I own doesn't have backwards compatibility and I've never played the God of War games before.

It looks like I'll be importing this one. Personally, I think that SCEA should just run both SCEE and SCEA, they actually get there job done.

Well as long as its region free I dont really mind. I dont want to wait for locatizations that I have no need for.

Region free = Importable
HD-TV = No need to fight with NTSC<->PAL problems
English = The only language I need to enjoy my games, Even tough I am a Finn I couldn't care any less for Finnish translations. (Subtitles are a plus but everything else is just not needed(Dubs are not even welcome))

However if its not Region free, I will be very disappointed.

You ALL speak and read american english/english so just import the damn thing. It's still gonna be region free like all PS3 games and it'll probably be cheaper than how much you would've paid there anyway.

Yes we are aware that we can import the game, it is more the fact that SCEE consistently shafts PAL territories, and quite frankly I'm bloody sick of it.

Plus now we have to put up with the American bastardisation (S not Z LOL) of the English language. ;)

SCEE are useless in the extreme. Thing is they're happy to sput BS about things into the bargain. Take SF2THDR which they only managed to get out a week before SF4 landed over here! It was out ages earlier, as usual, in the US and Japan but on this occasion was also out and in the EU on Live at the same time! So what were the legal reasons that caused the PSN EU release to be so long after the MS release here?

As I said it's BS and localisation is no issue either-while it's even more galling for us English gamers knowing the EXACT version the US gets is what we'll end up waiting for for an age(except the box)and even the EU language versions are luttle excuse as they know what needs to be done yet leave it all til the end and sod us Euro gamers.

The fact that even though we pay more for consoles and more for games and were STILL more loyal as a continent to PS3 seems lost on SCEE who seem intent on taking us for granted. I felt the moves recently with Vidzone arriving here early showed a real change but it was a fluke it appears and now we're back to being served the usual delayed crap. Sometimes I don't think SCEE really deserve the gamers they have over here-and, obviously, those forgotten folk in Canada and Oz.

yes but the UK being in eu means it's a pal game. it's just the way things are lol and yes i agree that it's a poor excuse. but really what reason do they have...

you talk like they don't want europeans cash... all this is is them wanting to get the game out as soon as possible (and the us is a massive audience compared to eu anyway)

anyway as u say, u can make do with the american copy then import it like every1 else is gonna. just means u'll get it about a week after release rather than day 1...
