If this review doesn't demonstrate what a pretentious doofus Yahtzee is, I don't know what will.

And before you disagree, please note I'm not saying Silent Hill 2 is a bad game. So don't take it that way. I'm just saying that if the game is this many glaring issues, it's pretty tough to defend it as "BEST GAEM EVAR!!1" without sounding like a pretentious twat.

It's very hard to call someone pretentious without making someone sound pretentious.

I like his views on games they are quite funny... I prefer Unskippable because the guys on there have done MORE videos and are funnier.

On a side note he did say the game had flaws big ones but maybe he was emerssed in it, I don't care what people say about my favorite game, the same way I don't care about there's.

It's his job to expose flaws in games that is why he is a critic..he looks at everything that makes a game look terrible, Like I loved Dead Space, and is on my top 10....but all of the points he made were valid and funny, please there is no such thing as a perfect game, there are always flaws ZP just speaks the truth in a funny way...but we don't let those problems get in the way because of the things the game does right.

While he does insist that his reviews shouldn't be taken too seriously, there is a merit of truth behind his reviews. He looks past all the hype, lovers, features, graphics, and looks at a game for what it really is. He often points out mistakes that reviewers fail to notice or simply ignore.

Yahtzee has always talked about what high regard in which he holds this game. It's nice to see him actually review it and (surprisingly) bash it quite a bit. While I do agree that the combat isn't that great, Silent Hill 2 still remains one of my top 10 favourite games of all time.

Silent Hill 2 is probably the greatest survival horror game ever made in my opinion(Resident Evil 4 was a bit to action like to be considered survival horror)

My personal favorite was Silent Hill 3 which is a game that holds up very well even now with all the next gen power.

SH3's ending, with all the vomiting, near-stepping, and subsequent eating of...something (don't wanna spoil it), still remains one of the grossest endings to a videogame I can remember.

You have to! I loved half of the games on his list especially dead space...but everything he says about them is true but funny.

I think it would be impossible to NOT laugh at atleast one comment in a game he reviews...especially if you played it.

Good review.ZP has good taste in games and Silent Hill 2 is one of the greatest games of all time.My favorite horror game is Fatal Frame 2 yet I still deeply enjoy Silent Hill 2 as well

I completely agree. Both are horrifying games, and I love both for that. Silent Hill 2 definitely sets me into unsettling and creepy atmosphere, but I love Fatal Frame 2 for its ghosts. I am so afraid of ghosties. :P
