EA: Don't rule out Boom Blox on other formats

Speaking to VideoGamer.com at London's recent Shine Week, Harvey Elliott, head of EA Bright Light studio based in Guildford, revealed that while he feels Boom Blox has really captured the spirit of what the Wii is about, we shouldn't rule out the franchise making an appearance on other platforms.

Ugh... I hate "journalist" for this. He never said they've thought about putting it on other consoles, the interviewer purposely asked and they gave the generic response that it might, because in the future... it might.

Ugh, "journalism" nowadays.

I wonder how much it'd sell on the other consoles anyway considering the fact that it's a kiddy, family game and the "hardcore" gamers look down on it?

A "hardcore" gamer would never look down on addictive and fun gameplay, and when it comes to the multiplayer aspect the game can be tons of fun. Admittedly the story is lame, but still...

I'll tell you what...I've been up late at night worrying that Boom Blox won't be on other platforms! You have no idea how this puts my mind at ease.

5 - @Reburn. Its bloody marvelous isn't it.
I had avoided it for a year but now that ive played it i think its prob. the most innovative EA game i ever played.

Sure the plot is crap but at least there is one and it really helps ground the puzzles within some kind of context. This really matters, especially in a kids game. Verses The Sims franchises Boom Blox totally floors everything else.

what the... who is talking about the story... there really is no story... it's a fun game. End of story. Though mage is right. This is all just speculation by "journalists". No better then the article that says Tat vs Cap will come to other systems. Why is it anytime wii gets an exclusive that is good these people have to poke and prod the PR of the companies making it to get answers they want. Mostly that it isn't exclusive. Still... Doesn't EA know puzzle games don't sell of the HD consoles. Only mindless killing fps games, sports titles, and 3rd person shooters sell on HD consoles. In fact you don't need to look much further then sales of ratchet and clank to prove that. It took ratchet and clank half a year to reach a mill. And sold only 75,000 in it's first month. Compare that to galaxy for 3d platforming and it's clear that if you want to sell an ORIGINAL or Different game then you need to go to wii. Wii owners are more open to what the "hardcore" (aka 17 and under) HD gamers would snub.
