God of War Novel Announced

A lot of games hit greatest hits level or even win several awards at every game show, but there is always one stage that only phenomenal games reach. Being converted into a novel for all new look at the world of whatever game it is. Halo has been there, Resistance recently entered the realm, and now God of War is heading our way!

2.2 - How do you reason that?
They wouldn't use a novel strictly for marketing purposes (like a napkin would be). It should be more tangible and relevant to the story of God of War. Besides, how often do you see a game as bloody as GOW being merchandised like that?

I'm currently just getting to know GOW by playing GOW;COO on PSP. I took a break from gaming toward the middle of last gen so I REALLY missed out on some cool stuff.

So I just ordered GOW1 and GOW2 as well as SOTC to make up for lost time and I'm going out to buy myself a white PS2 Slim this weekend.

4 - I like these kind of books
They may not be intellectually phenomenal but I've enjoyed the Halo books and the Resistance book. Its always nice to get a different story angle for the games you like.

I wish they would write about Kratos during his childhood/teenage years or even his time as a Spartan warrior/Family man.
To me there is honestly no point in getting the book if it is just about the games in more detail.

I agree. I liked the Starcraft novels (only game novels I've read so far), and I liked how most of them went to different events not talked about by the game.

7 - just finsihed SW: Shatterpoint
The author is good, this wont be a poor excuse to cash in on money. It will be cool to be able to experience the games from a new avenue just before the final chapter.

Anyone read the Ressistance novel, any good?
