I just heard from same one that sony is saying they did a survey and found that most PS3 owners where 18-35 years old. Now who is suppose to buy kingdom hearts out of that group? I also know lots of gamers on the HD console hate cartoony looking games just by looking at the sales of such games.

So I don't really see why they would get mad? Plus with the PS3 being so expensive I don't see too many kids or girls buying it. I know this is the first game that my girl friend liked that was an RPG. I mean the girls that bough wii fit will buy this game also. The guys who actualy like console games will get this also and the guys who just want uncharted will ignore it.

So HD owners shouldn't get to mad plus we have a nice line up of games coming out like

This is too hilarious. Whenever a major series hits the Wii instead of the 360 or the PS3, 360 and PS3 owners kick up a fuss, saying how the series is dead or act jealous and call the Wii crap or something. The worst is "oh man that's awful I hate the Wii." Why would you hate a console that's getting good games? I can understand disliking a console for its lack of games, but don't most, y'know, GAMERS enjoy consoles with games? It's really stupid to hate a console because of what it is, does, or looks like. Let's face it, all three consoles this gen have their problems. They all have their downsides. Now can we just play games?

Instead of whining, couldn't people just, y'know, buy the console that's getting these major exclusives?

It happened with Monster Hunter 3, it happened with Dragon Quest X, and the same thing would happen with Kingdom Hearts.

It would be a bad idea for SE as I'm pretty sure many who enjoyed the Kingdom Heart series have a PS3 or likely to purchase a PS3. Then again, this won't the first time SE made bad choices. I enjoyed the Kingdom Heart series a lot and been dying for Birth by Sleep but not enough to buy a Wii for KH3.

We probably won't hear anything about KH3 till Birth by Sleep is done which probably won't be done till after FF Vs. XIII.

The Kingdom Hearts Series sell best in Japan, hence why all the previous games come out in Japan first as the PS3 sells better there. Somehow though i doubt this will be an exclusive, i mean what can be done on the PS3 that makes it more enjoyable apart from the graphics? Leave the gameplay the same, give us another mindblowing story :). I think it would be PS3 and Wii i cant see it coming out to 360 because one of the older games would have been ported by now.

Kingdom Hearts 1 sold 3.5 million in USA and just 1.2 million in Japan. With Kingdom Hearts figures are 2 million in USA and just over 1 million in Japan. So Kingdom Hearts is actually much bigger in USA than it is in Japan. It is only released first in Japan because it is developed there.

I can see it being a PS3 exclusive mainly because Noruma is a PS fanboy. Aside from that, it's hard to compare last gen to this gen since the PS2 dominated. From what I've personally witnessed, many PS2 owners switched to PS3 or willing to purchase the PS3 over the 360.

So while it may have done well in the NA last gen, the 360 JRPG sale definitely indicates that many of the JRPG fans on the 360 are closer to nonexistent than to 2 million. I could be wrong but I think it's best to wait for FFXIII to better determine that.

Its one thing if it game out on the 360 and the ps3, but releasing it on the Wii and the PS3 is in my opinion a bad decision. Yes they may make money, but the quality of the games will suffer greatly due to the differences in the platforms. It will end up like those movie games where they release a game on every system. They need to make it for only one system, not both.

No, I'm sorry, but I disagree. The Wii has shown the audience doesn't appreciate core gaming experiences.

Believe it or not, Kingdom Hearts wasn't a casual title, it was actually a very respectable Action RPG, and definitely aimed at the core market, even with the Disney characters.

I own a Wii, and consistently purchase the core offerings, but seriously, it's obvious that for the most part, a lot of the Wii's audience simply aren't interested in titles that cater to the core.

I think it belongs on either PS2, or at the very least, multi platform on PS3 and 360.

Those systems have a strong core following, and with the latter, they'd have a lot of technical power to push the game forward, considering Action RPGs benefit greatly from increased power.

Yeah, well a lot of the Wii's audience are children and women, and I have a suspicion that this audience has a lot of interest in Disney franchises. They may not be interested in core RPG experiences like Final Fantasy or Tales of ... games but that's because they aren't familiar with the concepts, the franchises, etc. If you throw in something they have a vested interested in, like the Disney characters, a lot of them will check it out and discover that they can enjoy that core gameplay experience. I never said that Kingdom Hearts was not a core gameplay experience. A lot of Wii owners are not interested in core games because of their subject matter and the fact that they're not familiar with the concepts underlying the gameplay, so they stick with the casual experiences. But if you introduce them to a core game with an incentive to be interested, like their beloved Disney characters, they'll check it out and discover that Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Wii Fit aren't the only ways they can enjoy their Wii.

And a lot of people here on this site forget that a lot of core gamers DO own a Wii. There's really nothing wrong with putting Kingdom Hearts on Wii instead of the PS3 / 360.

"Core gamers" seem to have a lot of bias against the Wii, but if I was Square-Enix the first console I would look at if I was going to be starting a new Kingdom Hearts would be the Wii. The core will find your game their, and the Disney license would be put to great use with the audience on the Wii.

What a lot of people don't realise about the Wii as well is that developers are now looking to get a hold of the mature market on the console. Mature games may not have not have sold as well as on the PS360 but that makes publishers want to be the first to do that which is why we're still seeing mature titles coming out for the Wii(as well as low dev costs and other stuff).

Many might disregard the Kingdom Hearts franchise because of its Disney roots, but it is those roots that make these games so enjoyable along with the great gameplay. Everyone has seen many of those movies sometime in their lives and it is really cool to see how they are able to recreate each along with infusing many popular characters from the Final Fantasy series into them. Because there are already several games from this series out, people know the quality of these games are really good whether they will be on the Wii, PS3, or 360.

Arius mate! Yopu're being just as bad with your misinformation. Discount Haze, for a start, it failiong had NOTHING to do with PS3 or even dev costs but politics which left it a PS3 exclusive and then without middleware for physics and other things which were then rushed through in-hoise. Facvt is the game was better a year before release.

As for Lair-yes, it flopped but only because of the overamnitious reliance on Sixaxis-had another control scheme been available(which the devs really should have done and it's THEIR fault and noone elses that they didn't)it would have been pretty good.

Plus LOADS of devs/pubs say PS3 or 360 are their leading money makers and as for third parties making cash with good core games on the Wii? Madworld and HotD Overkill , among others, say hi! MH3 is even a bit of a risk given it'll be pay to play online and Wii Connect hasn't shone as of yet which has left Capcom with lots of work to do themselves-though with the Japanese fanbase and cash thrown at the game it should be ok.

Thing is KH3 would do very well on either PS3 OR Wii, though obviously would look way better on Sony's platform so I don't really care which it lands on even if I do feel it might sell better on PS3 given recent salkes for core third party games on Wii. Saying that it would sell ok on 360 in the US and be a big coup for MS(we'll have to see though as if Nomura's in charge MS seems less likely)as well!

So long as the game comes and it's good we really shouldn't care I guess but there's reasons in both directions why it should/shouldn't be on a particular console.

Please spare me that ill fated logic. No company has gone ut of business due to a Wii game flopping. Wii sells the most third party software inspite of the fact that it has largely missed out on the big third party franchises. You wanna talk risk, as Factor 5 how that risk panned out.

As for biggest money makers, Activision sees most console profits from the Wii. EA shifted support to the Wii because of games that underperformed, you know like dead space, for one. Take two despite the good sales of GTA4 was still seeing the bleeding.

HD consoles give higher revenue but not ROI. Why do you think activision is considering dropping support for Sony? Why are HD consoles lacking exclusives?

MH3 was a risk on PS3 which is why it isn't there anymore. Simple as that. Kingdom Hearts will follow suit with DQX. Square is in need of profts right now, because the horse they bet heavily on is nearly 3 yrs old and barely outsold the Gamecube.

Games progressing is more than about making them prettier, I'm all for advancing in gaming Wii is advancing gaming, look at M$ and Sony struggle to come up with an answer for Wii's motion controls..which I bet you are now all of a sudden excited for. BTW, I don't mind at all where KH ends up-I just don't see what Wii controls will actually add to the gameplay here and as a result I'd like to have the best looking game I can-god I'm so blinded by Sony I'm sure! I even said it makes sense, business wise, for MS to take an interest in KH3.

FRD didn't go bust because of Sony or PS3 just get your head round that-they were just unfortunate and the dropping of the 360 version and subsequent moving of all sorts opf goalposts is what scuppered them and the game. Lair-yes, Sony DID push for a Sixaxis showcase but F5 SHOULD'NT have put their eggs in one basket and having preferred playing Lair by Remote Play I truly believe a full set of well considered "normal" controls would have saved the game from much of it's scalding.

Comes to something when you actively try to show people that there's arguments both ways that I'm the one accused of being one eyed. I'm a pretty big Wii sympathiser as it goes(just think that Nintendo's approach to third parties stinks-they need more demos and promotion on the Shoping and Nintendo Channels at least, imo, then fewer would sell so poorly or, like WaW have to rely on word of mouth)but just because the actual reasons behind Haze and Lair failing, and their devs, has little to nothing whatsoever to do with Sony don't bite me for telling you.

Sometimes I am facetious and very sarcastic when dealing with some of the backwards logic that is rampant on this Sony dominated site. I've seen many of your comments and I do not feel you fall into this category, though I do have to call you out when I don't think what you post is on point, which I'd imagine you'd feel compelled to do when you see my comments in that way.

I'm using Haze in the same way people like to use NMH or Madworld, I can easily bring up The God Father 2, or more recently Bionic Commando to do the same thing. Flops are NOT exclusive to Wii, that is the only point I'm trying to illustrate. Even the PS2 had flops. And yes, flops on the PS3 are NOT the PS3's fault, but why then are flops on the Wii all of a sudden Wii's fault? Or blamed on "the demographics?" This is a retorical questin of course.
