Ship Date Announced for PS3, PS2, & Wii Rock Band 2 Software and Some Instruments

The stand alone version of Rock Band 2 has been available for a few weeks now on the Xbox 360, leaving PS3, PS2, and Wii fans of the franchise wondering when they will get their hands on the game for their respective systems. Well today is the day they will find that out. Good news for PS3 owners as their wait is almost over, but the other two systems have a ways to go still. Also announced are bundle pricing and some of the standalone instruments.

Not even going to bother getting it. Sticking with GHWT.. Kinda hard to support them when they go out of their way to let anyone who isnt a 360 owner know that they do not care about your money..They want to focus on 360.. Thats fine I'll focus on GH

3 - I gotta go with RB2
already got RB1, so i'll have loads of songs to play at launch for PS3 version. And I guess the little bonus is Trophy support, word has it GH:WT won't have Trophies.

Yeah... So its ok for the dev to think of you last as long as they add some stupid trophy that has zero impact on the game..

They may have wanted the 360 to get the money from the initial release purchasers, but they seem to really wanna focus on the other systems for the Christmas purchases, which I think will be more than the initial 360 releases back a month ago. Smart business. I respect that.

Waiting two months will not increase their sales at all. IN fact it could have been done to hurt Guitar Hero's launch but now it will be the other way.. Christmas sales will not be effected by waiting, you're still getting the same amount of sales but making people wait to make that purchase. From a business point of view there is no good reason to do that. 2 million sales now or 2 million sales in December, it's all the same in business. Now if they were holding off for the next financial quarter I could see that, but they are not. This will end up giving more sales to the 360 version and the next Rock Band will focus more on 360 owners, but keep thinking its a good things dude... When you have to wait 6 months for RB3 on PS3 while 360 has it as a 6 month exclusive remember how happy you were today.

5 - That is BS!
I have to wait another month for the Wii version, it better be worth it. Now I may think of getting GH:WT, but I don't know I'm kind of set on Rock Band 2.

6 - Boycotted the Rock Band franchise
after waiting far too long for Rock Band to be released in the UK on the PS3, it's Guitar Hero for me all the way.
