To be honest it does not really have to have a big budget just a good director lol If Zach syndar did the movie with the effects he used in 300, which was a cheap movie to make, the movie would be awesome lol but unfortunately hes not directing lol

I think that Gerard Butler from the movie 300 would be the best person to play as Kratos. After seeing his performance in 300, I can't think of anyone else better, plus, I think that he resembled Kratos somewhat because of his beard in the movie. All he has to do is shave his head, grow back the exact same beard he had in 300 and that's it.

Now that I think about it, all of the guys that were in 300 are all very good candidates to be in the God of War movie.

Why Brett Ratner why. I know He will only produce but some times the producer is even more important then the director. He really to me at least has not shown him self to be a good producer or director. He has made some comedies which who you ask will say they are good or bad. He had a hand in X-men 3 and not saying it was bad but it could have been better. Plus he tends to not like making R rated movies and that is the only way to go to show who Kratos is. Just look at 300 it was a great movie. Plus it was R and that is what this movie would need to be too. Also it was R and made a lot of cash. At least Uwe Boll has no hand in this so may be if I am really lucky the movie will turn out good.

Hmm...perhaps this will be the movie that will definitely break the stereotype of horrible video-game adaptations. Road to Perdition was a well-written movie, and well...as for Ratner...two words...Fight Club.

I'm looking forward to finally seeing a video game movie that hasn't been bastardized on a dozen different levels.

Honestly, I love the God of War series. It ridiculously entertaining despite the fact they completely bastardize the elaborate mythologies of ancient greece.

But none the less...it is brutally entertaining... I don't see so much of that feeling if it were in movie form. We would need a guy halfway between the Rock and vin diesel..haha. And the graphics would have to be so good that they would melt my eyeballs out of their sockets for me to find it "good".

Anyways...here is an interesting article on upcoming "videogame movies" for anyone who might be interested.

That Rattner doesn't sound good, why wasn't it someone like Peter Jackson? It's more his department with that marvelous work he did with LOTR or maybe Chris Nolan. Damn, now I'm scared, Gears gets a terrific director while GOW gets the slack job.
