6 hours!! I'm better off playing the game, oh wait I am playing the game right now (Metal Gear Solid Essential collection) and it rocks, just like I remember it, after that I'll replay MGS2.

Metal Gear 1 is *definately* in my top 5 games of all time. Man, that game blew my mind. I know it'll never happen, but I wish we could take games like MGS 1 & KOTOR 1 rerelease them with updated graphics & controls on a next gen system. I know it's a pipe dream that'll never happen, but I'd pay big for those two titles.

btw imo mgs1 is the greatest game of all time! i will never forget the cutscene when meryl s gets shot from sniper wolf!

11 - Brings back old memories (and very good ones)
I love how MGS show a more human nature of the enemies than other games. One guy complains about the cold weather, Johnny has to run to the toilet (not in this video but...) This video just shows how great MGS1 was (and still is) for it`s time and beyond. Not many games can make you think like the MGS games, and while that may sound strange to some who hasn`t played the game themselves (why think, when a game should just be fun, right ?), it just makes the game extra special for me.

Along with FF7, MGS1 is my two favorite games of all time. Can`t wait for MGS4 now, and Square-Enix needs to hurry up on that FF7 remake ;)

never played 3, but i have the other 2.

Do they really need all the codecs though? some of those are pretty preachy and have little to do with advancing the plot.
