Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga Not So Collectible Anymore

Digital Devil Saga and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne were two of the most expensive games on the Playstation 2, both selling for more than $70 used. Atlus reprinted the two games in April and the prices plummeted more than 50%. Great news for RPG gamers, but bad news for video game collectors or people who bought the games in March.

I have the three games and I'm glad more people can play them.

I hope Atlus stops all this "rare limited edition" crap.

WOW I never knew the whole price thing with Nocturne O.o (hugs his copy of Nocturne)

Still Nocturne is one of the best games by Atlus :D

4 - I have the digital devil saga games but not nocturne
But I can grab nocturne for $20 so I'm not worried about that.

And I'm happy I grabbed the digital devil saga games when they came out.

To anyone that hasn't played these games, if you like more mature orientated rpg games, then the Shin Megami games are for you

Where can you find the game for $20? I would love to know. $40 is sweet, but I am always down for saving even more money.

I can't believe Atlus hadn't reprinted these games a long time ago. Any time a game is selling for that much it should be a clue to Atlus that they didn't make enough of them to meet demand. And I want Atlus to make as much money as possible so they keep making these great niche RPG's

I don't think the guy knows the value of the game. So I plan to take advantage of that. lol

5 - MegaTen!
Is one of the best series around can't wait till atlas gets the ok to finally start producing for ps3. Although I can't find DDS2, I have DDS1 and Nocturne, and have had them since they came out. Its sad that people are just now getting them, thats why we don't get Jp games alot of the time. tsk tsk

To be fair Atlus never prints a lot of them so they're instantly rare upon release. The only one I saw in stores regularly was Devil Summoner, the rest of them sold out pretty quickly. DDS1, 2, and a few new copies of the original P3 are at the Gamestop by my house though.

I agree the games should be played too. But it would suck if you bought the game in March for $100 and now you could buy it for $40. I would be pissed that I spent an extra $60. Wouldn't you?

I don't feel sorry for anyone who bought them as "investments".
