Mercenaries 2 US Release Date Plus New Trailer

IGN: "Electronic Arts and Pandemic Studios have dropped a new trailer for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames in our lap, complete with an official release date in tow. The follow-up to the 2005 destruct-o-thon will hit US shores on August 31, 2008"

2 - EA Good & Bad
Mercenaries Looks like it is going to really Rock for sure. But there's a theme here, doing stuff for money - period. Army of Two, killing for cash wrapped in patriotism, Battlefield: Bad Company (BBC!)killing for gold wrapped up in fully destructible environment and glued with humour - well that's a bit better. And now Mercenaries. I wonder, do EA have a clause in what games they back from developers?
Thou shalt have violence and destruction for the sake of money or gold, none shall ye destroy if not for gain.
Thou shalt have no other goal but Material wealth before thee.
Well at least (it seems) Mercs2 has hit the nail on the head. My 'money' is on B:BC (without the extra's thank you very much) and Mercs2. Let's hope we don't have to buy anything extra in this one.

To be fair it was like that in the first one too. I do agree that is the recent trend in the new EA shooters but Mercenaries was one of the first to have that plot, well before B:BC and Army of two at least.

I'm looking forward to this game the first one was one of my favorites.
