All great things must come to an end and as such, today's NCAA 09 Play of the Day finishes up both Rivalry Week as well as the Play of the Day series as a whole for this year. Don't fret -- IGN will be starting up after E3 with daily Madden clips, but for you college fans, you'll have to just check out the backlog of clips before NCAA 09 hits stores next week.
Speaking of E3, IGN will keep it local to SoCal by discussing USC-UCLA, the "Battle for the Victory Bell". The winner of last year's game gets to keep the bell for a year, painting its carriage in the school's colors. After being upset by their arch-rivals in 2006, USC has the belt back now by virtue of a 24-7 win last year. USC currently holds a 42-28-7 lead in the rivalry.
