EA denies Rock Band PS3/PS2 September 26 release

Back when the European launch of the Xbox 360 version was announced the press release stated Rock Band "will be available for additional platforms later this summer", which suggested a release window of June-August.

Online retailer Play.com has now sparked a rumour that non-Xbox 360 gamers will be waiting even longer for Rock Band, listing both the PS3 and PS2 versions for release on September 26.

There's no reason to be too concerned over the release date just yet though. EA told VideoGamer.com: "We haven't had any confirmation on that release date at all. We don't know where that's come from. That's definitely not confirmed."
